Micro systems…

Another fairly quiet day ahead looks likely… as does Saturday in truth- not stats/trends races from what i can see but no doubt the odd 3m+ chase I can have a look at…

ALSO NOTE: There were some technical problems with members sign ups but these have now been fixed I think. So, you can take the 21 day trial HERE>>> if you so wish.

  1. The 5.25 at Musselburgh is quite interesting as there are no really outstanding trainers in bumpers except for Keith Dalgleish 3-7 current season. The downside is that Dalgleish is winless in bumpers at the course, the upside is that Brian Harding is 2-2 this season riding for Dalgleish in bumpers, the downside is he is winless in bumpers at course also, its his first time to ride Paddyplex,Last time out he ran well until 1f out and then didn’t run so well in that vital part,if Brian Harding can restrain him a bit this time he may be able to keep some energy at the end,Its 9/1 at present but its one to watch in the betting, they ones that are backed usually hack up

    1. Gerry Rockchasebullett 2:30 N Fergal/Paddy,horse is coming back after 3 year absence, just one run at Chelt ,soft hurdle,he is on winning mark, won twice with Paddy on good 10/1

  2. Having been trounced by the Irish at Cheltenham there’s no more obvious place to look for revenge against them than, yes you wont believe this, wait for it …. Meydan ! haha
Oh no not flat racing i hear you cry! but soon we are going to have to get used to it again.
Anyway i have done really well betting on Josh’s stats based races recently, so i thought i would try to find something this w/e to have a go at, and the only race i found was the Dubai Turf(Group 1) at Meydan. This race is a Group 1 run on turf(obviously) over 1m1f. The reason for my comment earlier…. was GB bred horses have won 5 of last 7 years of this race from only 27 runners, IRE bred are 0/32 ,FR 0/8, JPN 3/10. I also found interesting that 9 out of last 10 winners had 11 or more career starts ( the 1 exception had 8), have looked at other stats but didnt think significant. If we apply those stats to the field, we are left with : Decorated Knight/Mutakayyef. I’m siding with Decorated Knight as he won the Jebel Hatta lto and 3 of last 10 winners ran in that race before winning this, currently 10.5 on BF. Good Luck!

    1. Oh no, not Flat racing!! 🙂 That’s a cracker James, thanks for that! I am going to have to have a go at those..haven’t checked market for other one but if any sort of price you have to have something on given you have a shortlist of 2! Dont make my flying tiger mistake.. GL.

      1. Josh if your going to have a look at Meydan any chance of having a look at Watson’s runners? a mate who lives in Dubai says there’s a whisper of a plot on one of his runners tomorrow he’s trying to find out which one.

        1. Hi Martin… I have no plans to look at Meydan! 🙂 I will simply be following James’ wise words above for some fun! I wouldn’t even know where to look- if Geegeez Gold or HRB ever have cards/tools etc for Meydan I may be tempted one day…
          Josh

  3. Something of interest I found for the 2:30 Newbuy.
A big negative is Global Dream. Up 8lb for it’s Leicester win. This Horse has 5 wins & 8 Places to date, 4 of wins those where at Leicester & 5 Places, 1 win & 2 places at Southwell.
So Left handed 11 starts 1 win 2 places all at Southwell a tight left handed track with an easy finish today left handed, very galloping, flat, big fences.
    My lay of the day.

  4. Dance Of Fire 2.45 Muss By Norse Dancer Yard have reportedly always thought this one might be useful but has disappointed so far. Theory is that a bit of sun and some good ground may suit. If it does the trick, the 28-1 with 365 will be looking too big come about 2.50. Need to take a leap of faith, but shorter with a number of others already and certainly worth keeping an eye on either way it goes today.

The ‘problem’ with these as we know is a win means you won’t see 28s again, as does a solid run. Today may be the day to chance it, the others don’t look like any worldbeaters.
