TTP Jumps Notes: 19/10/16 (late update, now complete)

2 late additions to 2.45, as of 8.30am…

NOTE: It appears I have had some local issues with my Geegeez Racecards which go a long way to solving why, on a couple of occasions, I have missed certain races or thought handicap chases were handicap hurdle races! A problem of sorts with my browser it seems. Maybe I will ditch Chrome and try explorer. Anyway, that isn’t your concern but it should be all sorted now with any luck.

‘Yes I Did’ doesn’t now qualify as he is running in a handicap hurdle, not chase.

Catherine’s Well DNQ (micro going- ONLY qualifies if officially GOOD, clearly good to soft is no problem for the horse here given last run…)

NOTE: Trainer 2/7,3 places handicap hurdlers returning here 60+ days. Hobbs are going well enough and had two run well at Exeter on Tuesday. No issues with yard form. Regardless of whether she ‘qualifies’ she looks expected to go well given price and she is certainly still in the ‘could be anything’ category over hurdles having won easily enough when last seen.

(late update 8.30 am)

Chartbreaker (hncp h) UP

Letemgo (hncp h) UP

NOTE: Gordon 0/13,3 places last 30 days. Chartbreaker…trainer only 4/68,12p hncp hurdlers returning 60+ days…2/18,3p track.

My View… Letemgo looks up against it as he has shown very little but there is some old ability somewhere. Hard to say he can’t win albeit market suggests he is up against it. Chartbreaker looks more interesting and a question of how fit he is. Some decent enough form in the book and you couldn’t rule him out with any great confidence.

That is all for a quiet Wednesday.

NOTE: I will be looking to find some ‘positive trainer pointers’ for Cheltenham’s Showcase meeting this Friday/Sat. These will be exclusive for Members. Having had a flick through there are a few pointers of interest. These will be ready by Thursday lunchtime at the latest.

  1. Following my reading of Ben Fearnley’s (editors you mean Aitken…) recent statistical appraisal of Paddy Brennan’s amazing strike rate on front runners, I shall be having a punt on Fergal Mael Duin in the 14.10 race at Fontwell on Wednesday.
The horse goes well fresh, (not run for 298 days), is having its first outing for Tizard, loves to front run and is partnered by Brennan. Fingers crossed.

    1. Yep he looks sure to race prominently and Paddy could well try and make all. First run for Tizzard who while not prolific with chasers after a break, has enough winners for it not to be a concern if you like the price etc. Horse had a good record fresh for old connections. CD winner. Looks interesting enough! Would think Brennan may ride more for Tizzard now also. GL
