Ah, you have to smile. Saturday was one of those days, plenty of positives… Warriors Tale was unlucky and I think would have won but for the loose horse – Bryony had to pull him back a tad at a crucial time, but that’s racing! If On Tour hadn’t UR it would have been irrelevant as I suspect he would have won. Whisper was agonising for the free tips. I could easily be sat here with a +20 point swing on the day from all ‘tips’. Still, I think I needed Old Guard for my ‘notes’ moral and with any luck I can get back in the groove. That snapped a ‘notes’ losing run of 20-22 or so I think- they don’t bother me and are usually as bad as they get 🙂 Cowslip…showed the benefit of the strategies and a good win for S4, and S3… for those of you who backed him last night I believe he was generally 10s, so you may have backed him as an S1 + S5 also. I declare on morning results but hopefully some of you may have piled in. My head said he was up against it but the ratings said otherwise. He also won for the McCain test. We could do with a few more like him in the coming days. On we go.

3.Micro System Test Zone

D McCain (14/1<)

2.25 Carl – Golden Investment (m1+m2) UP

2.50 Carl Leic  Kilronan Castle (m1+2+3) WON 2/1

4.Any general messages/updates etc

2.05 Fairyhouse…

Oh well there isn’t really much to help here…well….

-10/20 (10/24, runners,14p) were won by the fav/joint fav… +18 SP…so, you could just focus on Ben Dundee!

-10/10 had 0-1 handicap wins

-8/10 were 9/1 or shorter LTO

That leaves a rather long list of horses…you could focus on trainers..

N Meade… 2/10,5p, +24 .. So She’s A Star / Laverteen, may be fun EW tickles

W Mullins… 2/15,4p

**

Do with that info as you please, if you have a dabble with any luck some of those pointers may help.

  1. Had torn up my virtual slip on Royal Vacation after 4 fences, something more wrong there than sore shins, judging by the way he jumped. In the 2.25 Carlisle Finaghy Ayr might outrun its odds of 10/1,conditions should be ok on a course that he has winning form at.nothing else appeals

  2. I like Black Tulip in the 12.50 tomorrow. Trainer is 2/6, 3 places at the track in the last 2 years, has the champion jockey booked, who when riding has finished 1-2 in 2 rides. Both the trainer and jockeys only ride of the day and with it being over 200 miles from the stable then you think they must fancy it. Not a huge price at 4/1 but the competition seems fairly weak and seems fair to me.
