A decent enough ‘pace day’ on Thursday with a couple of front runners who made all and won, a front runner who was held up last and PU and another who travelled well but found little. Oh and a fast closing second. I’d have taken those results before the day started and hopefully the video gave you some ‘pace’ ideas. It was also good to see the Venetia micro have a decent 10/1 winner. Hopefully she can kick on now. Trainer form is a funny thing… my angle for her in November seemingly zones in on the type of profile she does best at…and despite what appeared as ‘poor’ form, she’d only had 5 qualifiers for my system. One of those ran a fine race and arguably a few of the others were up against it on paper. She may not have been ‘out of form’ as such. It can always pay to look beyond any top line figures, although i’d be lying if I said they were not starting to concern me!

TIPS
None. The Badger Ales Chase will be the focus on Saturday. I am off to Aintree again where there is a decent enough card, but maybe not much for ‘tipping’ purposes. I’ll try and pull some thoughts together.
