My theory about horses from the Newbury super sprint being vulnerable
faces the test today as CORINTHIA KNIGHT 1.50 Wolves & LEXINGTON GRACE 6.05 Newmarket
both raced in it, CK finished 4th and LG last home
LG is odds on but will happily take on with the top man in sellers David Evans who saddles Kheleys Girl, the horse has the form to contest and if the fav has been put back by
run in the super sprint then is vulnerable
The step up to 7f and drop from a 200grand race to a seller doesn’t bode well
so would be vary wary of backing LG.
CK will go off 2nd fav and he ran at Royal Ascot and in the super sprint
so will have to be pretty tough to run to his best today.
he had a hard race at Newbury and if that takes it toll could be out of the money completely
Interesting runner tonight in the 7.55 at Tipperary – The Last Indian. Has shown nothing in any of its races so far, but this is the horses handicap debut having run on a mixture of hurdles and flat maidens. Returns to flat at a track where the trainer has a strong record (38% Win Strike Rate over 2 years) and Pat Smullen is booked for the ride where he is 2/3 when teaming up with the trainer. Does look to be gambled on so far, but I found the booking of Smullen very interesting. Usual caveats on Irish racing apply, I don’t pretend to understand the way things work over there fully, but could be worth a small punt
Sorry should say *doesnt look to be gambled on
Well gambled on on its handicap debut. Value has now gone for other punters.
Superb tip James p
I didnt have a penny but well done James
Thanks for that James. My small punt will pay for tonight’s boozing!
Thanks guys, nice when it comes off. Glad some of you got on 🙂
not much comment today maybe a tricky day, one stat that stood out for me was that jamie spencer has only had two rides at brighton in the liast two years and they both won. Today he pays another rare visit lets hope its another winning one
I like two handicappers from the Mark Johnston stable today. Highly Sprung travels to Brighton for the 4.10 with SDS aboard. Sorority goes in the Nursery to open the racing at Musselburgh (2.00) and should take it.
May I add my thanks too JP.
