No ‘tip’ again today, as no overly strong ways in.(and being pushed for time again)
I have had a quick glance at the Ayr Bronze Cup and I plan to get properly stuck into the two big sprints tomorrow – I have had a bet on New Bidder EW 5 places 12/1, without looking at the race in depth. Thing things that caught my eye – firstly he is in form, and has CD form. The stable is in form and the horse appears to be improving again, having had a lull for some time. This mark should not be a problem. He is stepping up from C5 here but what caught my eye was his geegeez speed figure, which is the best by some way in the race. He is also an out and out front runner drawn high. I think he will get the rail and he has shown battling qualities this season. Now, he could go too quick and get taken on, but will have to trust the jockey there. If he has a relatively easy time up the near side I struggle to see him being too far away – unless that speed fig is an anomaly and he just wont be good enough. Don’t just follow me in based on the above – that is very much a one horse only bet, without looking at the others! (but similar logic worked for Rene Mathis at Goodwood the other week, 14/1, so who knows)
Shorlist
The 2.40 Listowel looks a conundrum and this is an ‘unconsidered’ shortlist in the sense I haven’t had time to look at the horses…Hassett is 3/6, 4 places at track, runs Mystery Again. McCourt is 3/7 at track, runs Clear Focus and Murphy is 4/10, 7 places and runs Consonance. All are big prices and I will have a further look, but I may throw something at all three, we shall see.
JJ Quinn is 2/4, 2 places with his 2yo debutants at Ayr. A small sample yes but he does tend to target this meeting…1.30 St Dunston, 2.00 Wowcha.

The stats guide throws up a few horses of interest…a couple of handicap chasers in the 6.05 priced up around 6/1 (fitness question over both) and one in the 6.35 at 16/1 or so – form and fitness concern too , and finally a couple in the 7.05 – one for a trainer with a brilliant record with his handicap hurdlers at the track, that I have backed, although he is still a maiden, 6/1 just allowed a chance to be taken.

Cheers Josh – Always informative even when there is no tip of the day.
Looking forward to some competitive racing tomorrow and your expert opinion on 2 impossible handicaps
Cheers
Joe
haha thanks Joe – yea those handicaps look easy! Well, you will get an opinion, whether or not it is expert or not we shall see 🙂
Hi Josh…just to say thanks for the recent posts and tips especially the monthly trainers…even though they did not perform well yesterday overall this has been an excellent way into the cards..also thanks for the prompt download of the stats guide after purchase..excellent value at the price and have no doubt the comprehensive info will more than pay as it provides information that is not readily available on other web sites and as a person who prefers flat racing this will be an invaluable aid for me..all the best for the upcoming NH season though without AP seems as if something will be missing..cheers. John
Hi John,
Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated, and I am glad you like the guide.
It should help to point to plenty of horses in with a chance and for each track you will see quite a few stand-out stats – and also the ‘Best Of’ in the bonus guide..quite a few of them can be used as micro systems – or as a more ‘informed’ way in.
Yes no AP will be odd, but it will be great for Dickie Johnson to shine – he deserves to be Champion Jockey and AP would not have been as good without him – so that will be good fun.
True about AP and DJ..excellent start to the stats and bonus guide at Hexam…4 winners…many thanks John
Hey Josh, Did you send an email concerning some sort of trading method by a Mr Andersen. i’ve been getting emails from a person called Josh and i’m wondering if they’re masquerading as you as i don’t recollect subscribing to them.
Hi Paul…no that isn’t me, I haven’t promoted a product for a while, last one was a football one via folks at Betting School. That is the first I have heard of it – maybe person promoting it is on my list and is using my name – however I don’t know how they would have got your address – I would be majorly concerned if you were one of many – but all my emails are saved via GetResponse and I trust their security is up to scratch given how big/reputable they are.
