  1. Did anyone see Sharp Rise’s last run? He goes in the 4.35 Worcester at 7/2 and Im tempted to have a 2-pointer on him as he was just so sublime in victory last time. Those beaten on the bridle a long way behind were no slouches either – Purple n Gold and Miss Tenacious had both won recently – and he won jumping sketchily (which I imagine will improve as it does with many of Longsdon’s – think Drop Out Joe and Loose Chips).

Haven’t considered the oppo much, he does go 12lbs up but surely has something in hand still

  2. Uttox. 3:00 – Doubly Clever is a runner from a H. Cobden/M. Blake micro I have, which is currently performing at 7/15 (47%) @ +16pts. Managed to get 12’s with PP, but appears to be some interest in it as now generally 10’s with 8’s in places (11’s still about with B365 & betVic). Won his first three hurdle races including Cl.3 and has since competed well at a higher level.

  3. Anthony – Here are the details of the Hcp Chasers with no wins system I promised you over a week ago (sorry, been away with very limited internet access).
2M 7.5F+, Hcp Chase, <17/1, wins in NH type races = exactly 0, For trainers: David Dennis, W. Greatrex, M. Keighley, A. King, JJ O'Neill, D. Pipe, Lucinda Russell, J. Scott, O, Sherwood, D. Skelton & N. Twiston-Davies. For some reason I have also omitted the months January, June & July ??
    Since 2013 it has performed at 88/325 (27%), + 223pts (143 places).

I am a novice using HRB, so I am sure this can be improved upon or even split down in to micros with some further research, but at least a good starting point.

    1. Snap! Well done mate, also had a saver on Joe. Some members may recall me having a soft spot for him. Would’ve been gutting if I’d used Joe to justify my bet on Sharp Rise, then not back him in the big one!

Field day for Longsdon – and us. I love it when a soft-spot horse wins!

  4. Jimmy Moffat had a stable debutant absolutely p*ss up at 20/1. I take note of all of his new recruits and annoyingly didn’t notice this one. Damn.

Big blemish on an otherwise cracking Sunday’s punting – especially for a Sunday!

    1. Yeah I was on a horse of his called Amuse Me on friday. Won on his first three runs for Moffatt taking over from Jonjo. That was all over hurdles so given he appeared to be about 15 lbs better over chases his current chase mark of 111 seems very lenient. Was a NR today (5/5 when returning within 7 days) but definitely on to look out for over chases particularly with Dicky is on board since he has a 12113 record on the horse. Probably will be there or thereabouts in C4 hurdles also.

Well done on Sharp Rise. I was Roman Flight.
