Two things have come to my attention in recent days that may interest some of you…
- The Lambourn Trainers website discussed over the weekend. Daily comments on runners can be found HERE>>>
- The Racegoers Club.. which I had no idea existed until today. You can check out membership options HERE>>> (if you are a regular race goer it is a must it seems – so many perks to membership including regular discounts on entrance fees. A few who got in touch with me on twitter were very positive as to the experience. Anyway, definitely worth a look.. this isn’t an affiliate link or anything! They celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, and a few who follow me on twitter also had no idea as to their existence. They need to work on their advertising)

I’ve been a member of the Racegoers Club for the 4 years now. Fantastic value. I go to 4 or 5 of the free entry days, money off at other fixtures and get a ticket for the Cheltenham marquee every festival. I’ve also been to a couple of the club events. The November Handicap day at Doncaster is brilliant for about £40!
Bit of a topsy turvy week. Up, down, up, down. Unfortunately, finished the week off with a 7pt loss. Hope for better next week. Results as follows:
W/C 15 Jan – Staked 64pts, Profit -2.5pts, ROI -3.91% or -£12.50 to £5 stakes. Not a total disaster and a couple of nice highlights along the way with 14/1 and 25/1(ew) winners. That gets the adrenalin going!
12 Dec to date – Staked 340pts, wins 52 (SR 15.3%), Profit 101.55pts, ROI 29.87% or £507.76 to £5 stakes
We’re off to Wolves tomorrow. Qualifiers as follows:
4.20 Harvest Day 7/1
5.50 Paddy’s Runner 5/1 & Lady Makfi 5/1
6.50 Sean O’Casey 7/1 & Spirit of Sarwan 8/1
7.20 Rockwood 6/1 & Thair 5/1
1pt win each.
Good luck.
Well done Ken, I don’t back all yours systematically, but on a quiet day had a good look at Harvest Day… about 10 mins before the race! Mick E in flying form, horse crying out for 7f, a bit of pace on to track.. and he’s bolted up.. good job. Thought 11/2 ok, so well done with the 7s. I may leave that there as not to curse any others of yours to come.
Nice start Ken!
managed to get Harvest Day matched @9.4 🙂 so a profit whatever happens, cheers Ken.
Thanks guys and well done Martin on 9.4. Did you ask for it or did you get a straight match?
On a quiet day have chucked a cheeky fiver e/w on Postbridge in the opener at Fakenham. Combination of the fact the trainer has booked Sheehan to go with the severe drop in trip was interesting enough to have a go. Drops into a class 5 hurdle for the first time in his career and has a couple of seconds at the track in bumpers. At 20/1 there are worse darts.
hmm, yep I may have had a similar idea and thrown 5 at him at 20s, on the nose.. Sheehan did catch the eye given horse used to be with his boss, and in general. Drop in trip etc. We shall see, a hopeful dart for to liven up a quiet afternoon. GL
