Don't Miss Your Chance... to join our friendly, professionally run syndicate that you can trust. Now the proud owners of a Saturday ITV winner with Blazing Soldier (pictured above).

With x8 horses in training and 112 owners and counting, it's time to add our 9th... a northern based jumps horse, to go into training with the excellent Sam England.

Introducing...DIXIE COWBOY...our ex-Irish Pointer (just like Blazing, and sourced by the same agent), a 5YO son of Westerner, who'll be ready to race in February...we will see you on a racecourse soon...

Do have a watch of the videos below, including Dixie Cowboy's last point run, how he looks & walks and his recent work...

What can you find on this information page?

To the right you can see Dixie Cowboy jumping like a stag in his last Irish Point. Below that image is a video of his last Point run in full.

Below you can find a few videos... the first one is of myself talking over his last Point run, his form, profile and breeding. If you're going to watch one video, make it this one!

You can then find a couple of videos of his physical, as he strides around trying to catch your eye! He caught mine, and you'll see why. He's arguably the best looking horse we've bought to date, and on his latest Irish Point RPR figure (86), he's the best, at this stage anyway!

Following that you can find a summary of Dixie Cowboy with all the important information.

There's a bit on the excellent Sam England, who'll be training him, before the all important 'costs' (you can't put a price on cheering your own horse to victory!)... and a form where you can register your interest. We'll then be in touch asap!

First up... my talk through of his point run, profile, breeding etc...

Next up... a look at him, his walk, his physical... oh my...

Dixie Cowboy... further information in summary...

  • 5YO son of Westerner x Dixie Chick (Be My Native)
  • The dam won a 3m point in her only race, and has produced two winning offspring so far, the best of those an unexposed chaser for Ben Pauling, with a career high RPR to date of 118.
  • Westerner has a 50% winners to runners SR with all National Hunt Offspring. The sire of multiple winners, and many a classy horse. His damsire, Be My Native, isn't bad either, having sired the dam of Native River and many other high class horses.
  • An Ex-Irish Pointer, his best run was when last seen, a very good 4th on first start in 147 days, back in October. He's taken some time to mature but is now coming into himself. The second has sold for £45k since, the winner £48k. With a RPR point rating of 86, he's shown decent ability already. (Blazing Soldier's best point figure a 79, and we've seen what he can do! :) )
  • The Plan... he's being pre-trained at the moment and will be ready to run in February. Once Sam England has a grip on him, we'll make a plan... this could involve a NHF race but most likely straight into a maiden or novice hurdle over 2m. We can see what we have at that point and go from there. His action and relations on dam side suggest he will want some 'Good' in the going, good to soft should be fine, but we don't think he'll want proper winter soft/heavy. So, he's one for early in the main winter season and into the spring. We may try and win a novice hurdle, or depending on his first start, decide to handicap him over 2m before stepping him up in trip onto better ground. He will do well for another summer at grass, and could do so again for next summer at grass also. He should be a fine chaser in time, but we'll have some fun over hurdles first, for the rest of this jumps season and maybe next season also, as he matures.
  • The trainer... he will be trained by the excellent Sam England, based in Yorkshire, with the plan to campaign the horse on the northern circuit, no doubt with the odd trip to Scotland also...

Introducing Sam England...

  • Sam England and Mark Walford were the top two trainers on my list for a northern based jumps horse. Blazing is at Mark's, and Dixie Cowboy will be going to Sam. I anticipate as we look to grow the string further in the north, we will stick with these two yards. As well as existing trainers Amy Murphy (Newmarket) and Dr Richard Newland (Worcester)
  • Sam England - based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, 2022/23 was their best season to date.
  • The team can train... they have a 16.39% win SR and 41% SR with ALL chasers, which is superb, and what they really excel at. Dixie is in safe hands and they'll get the best out of him.
  • Of trainers in the north (North East/West, Yorkshire, Scotland) she's in the Top 8 with her Chase win percentage, of those with 100+ runners. Mark Walford is also in the top 8. They are joint 3rd with handicap chasers by win percentage, and joint Top with their Place SR.
  • Of course that's only one element, but Sam is a young hungry trainer going places, as is Mark. They both get the very best out of the horses they have.
  • They have a 12.57% SR with ALL National Hunt runners, which again, is superb, especially with more than 1000 runners.
  • We can't wait to have a horse with Sam and her husband Johnny. Sam is approachable, hands on and they put a lot of care and individual attention into their horses, with great facilities (including a swimming pool) Some of our owners have had winning horses with Sam before and have nothing but good things to say.

The Cost...

The Cost to you... to be involved in THE greatest adrenaline rush known to humankind! :)

Capital Cost: Dixie Cowboy cost just £23 000 all in... this includes sales cost, vetting, transport from Ireland, all taxes, agents commission and all costs to this point.

This works out at a one-off (never to be paid again) cost per share % of...

  • 1% = £230
  • 2.5% = £575
  • 5% = £1,150
  • 7.5% = £1725
  • 10% = £2300

All FEES: In addition to the one-off capital above, owning your share % of his flesh and blood, there will be a monthly fee starting from Feb 1st, for the initial 12 month period, with first refusal to commit to year 2. We should certainly have longer term eyes with this lad, as he is a young chaser in the making. These fees are all inclusive with no additional or hidden costs...

  • 1% = £28 per month (x12)
  • 2.5% = £69.99 per month (x12)
  • 5% =£139.99 per month (x12)
  • 7.5% = £209.99 per month (x12)
  • 10% = £279.96p per month (x12)

Shares will be sold on a first come first serve basis, and after Blazing Soldiers victory, we anticipate they'll be in hot demand!
