A goodbye of sorts, it’s time for a change…
Hi all,
After much thought and soul searching, April will be the final month of subscriptions.
Please cancel from May 1st onwards, however, rest assured, any payments that come in from 1st May through the month will be refunded my end, and cancelled ongoing. So, you can do nothing, but please be patient through May as your subs come in, and rest assured I will refund/make sure not charged any further, at the point your payments come in next month etc. I will do my best to cancel before they come out.
Ultimately, the ‘product’ no longer deserves your funds, my tipping has been awful this season, and ultimately it has got to the point where my ‘tipping head’ just isn’t in the right place, and for various reasons I no longer wish to dedicate the time required to the blog as it stands at the moment. I’ve been at this a long time, and I think it is about time I changed a few things and took a different approach.
I don’t know if the Tues-Sat blog and RTP subscriptions will ever return, but for now it is an indefinite break on that side of things. My current mindset with this place and the content determines that it is unfair to keep charging.
Rest assured I am not going anywhere!
I do need a shift in the content I produce, including on Youtube, free/reports etc, with maybe more of a focus on that side and growing the audience.
I am obviously hosting Cliff’s excellent TRS service and more focus will be required there in the coming weeks to grow his audience, in what is a fine three pronged portfolio of Trends & Non-trends tips, and Info bets, which have been doing very well in his Telegram group. All in since he first starting posting his previews in the free Telegram chat group, he is more than 60 points in profit. He provides superb content to read and help you find winners, and his own tips will hit a spike soon enough, given the number of placed horses and value achieved. It’s an approach for the long term, and his content is much better than mine! 🙂
I will still produce the odd blog post, and with less pressure and an ability to blog/research when I want to, and am able to, hopefully the quality improves. I do love the big trends handicaps, including on the flat, and there will be bits and pieces to read/watch. I just need a fresh start with this place and my free email list etc. This blog/subs has maybe turned into too much of a comfort blanket and I need to snap out of my comfort zone, pull my finger out, and up my game. It is unfair and morally wrong to keep charging you.
I do also have the RTP Syndicates of course, and this side needs much more of my attention and focus in the coming months. It has been a testing few months with injuries (5 horses retired) and sadly last week we had to put down our 2YO Step To Glory, who suffered a devastating bout of colic, and that has hit me and his owners hard.
Racehorse ownership is a bloody tough game, the highs take you to a place which is indescribable until experienced (you should buy a small share in something! HERE >>> ) but the lows are very low! We have 220+ shareholders, many of whom now good friends & who have been reading my blog since Day 1, and they deserve more of my time also. Going racing with them all remains such a high. We do wish to grow in time and I’m conscious I am in danger of doing two things poorly, rather than one thing very well. We also have ideas on a ‘social club’ of sorts for all, with more of a focus on human ‘face to face’ interaction, going racing, tipping comps etc.
So, that’s where I’m at right now. It is the right decision for me, and more importantly for you. Many of you reading this have been subscribers for a long time, and it really is appreciated.
However, the subscription service needs to stop, and a new path forged. I know it will be a relief to me waking up knowing that I do not ‘have to’ produce content ‘today’, it has probably become a burden, and ultimately my race analysis has not been anywhere near good enough in recent months. It is a lonely place when firing out loser after loser. My confidence has evaporated, for now. On the flip side, cutting off this ‘income’ source, is also a wake up call and jolt forward I need, to drive me on to do better.
As I said, I’m not going anywhere, I just need a reboot with racing & my content/approach.
Thanks for your support until now, those still reading have been very patient, but this is the right decision for us all,
All the best,
Josh

Hi Josh
Thanks for your comments. I have been with you for about ten years so this is a sad day for me to for me to.
Only a few days after I joined you gave 28-1 winner of the Midlands Grand National. Also on the same day Nick Mazur gave a big priced winner . I thought Christmas had come early. Happy days.
So I wish good luck and good health. Take care.
Kind regards
Charles.
Hi Josh, just a quick note to say thank you for the tips and musings for the time I’ve been with you. Whilst I totally understand your reasoning and this season has not been what you’d have wished it to be, please do not be too hard on yourself. Like you’ve pointed out, it’s a tough game and for those of us that have remained we’ve done so for a reason and it was within our power to walk away at any point. We didn’t and I’m guessing many still wouldn’t have. Good luck and best wishes for the future. I know your fortunes will turn around very soon.
Kind regards
Cerith
Hi Josh, also sorry to read this but have sensed it coming for a while as your racing journey progresses. I too remember that great run of Nick Mazur a few years ago, but it is you that have given consistent profits year after year until recently, and not many tipsters achieve that. Thanks for all your hard work and good luck with everything going forwards. With pressure of regular tipping off, I’ll look forward to your wise words ahead of those big handicaps or long distance chases – as you always say it’s ‘the great game’ so onwards and upwards!
Sorry to see you go, best of luck with future plans. Been a tough season tipping wise but end of the day nobody forces us to bet the tips and if we do it’s our own choice.
Thanks for the work put in over the years and once again best if luck.
Hi josh sorry to hear the news but you don’t have to apologise you are genuine bloke who works hard some times you have to take a
Break hard game horse racing but hopefully you will come back at some time all the best
Thanks all, it really is appreciated. Im not going anywhere in a general sense. You’re a fine bunch and your loyalty over the years has meant a lot.
Morning Josh,
Been with you since OTT. Many thanks for all the work you’ve put in over the years
and some nifty tipping in the good runs. Looking forward to the ‘reboot’.
Cheers and go well.
Hi Josh as a long term member of yours I too was sorry to read your note. I fully understand and know you’ll have struggled over making this decision. You have always had your members interests at heart (rare these days!!) which is why you have a loyal bunch of them. Enjoy your ‘reboot’ and I’ll look forward to anything that you might put on the blog in the future (no pressure of course!!).
I know the future is a bright one for you, stay well and enjoy yourself. Very best wishes.
Thanks gents, it means a lot, your support over all this time has been much appreciated. I am not going anywhere but do need to step away from the daily blogging, which had become a bit of a grind at times this season. There will be plenty to muse over in time,
All the best
Josh
I’m saddened to hear the news about Step To Glory. The world of horse racing is truly emotional. Sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone to find ourselves again. See you in the next blog post, Josh!
Hi Josh. Every time I log on to the TRS members there is a message saying I just joined.
I must heave joined six times in the last month Whin I try to reply to the community chat my name never appears.
Can you help?
Thanks
