  • Two non runners on Tuesday!!!

    Two at Musselburgh on Wednesday:

3.30, Show Palace – dropping in the weights, likes a bit of cut in the ground, well drawn. 1 point each way.

4.35, Stormin Norman – won well on seasonal debut, more to come, course and distance winner. 1 point each way.

    Good luck Martin

  • 3:00Muss HELLO GIRL.
I’ll forgive her last run drawn 15 of 15 5F at Beverley.
Uncomplicated mare. just point and shoot. Has a new jockey, Likes to lead and has the plum draw.
I’m hoping she can hang on all the way to the line. 9/1 most firms.

    3:30Muss SHOW PALACE.
has won in this grade off 84 three years ago, Rated 71 today. A sign of form revival LTO. Beaten 1L
Must be a smashing horse to own. Won 11 of 41 on the turf. None of them over 7/1.
So I’ll be watching the market. Another who likes to get in front if he can. Decent draw. and hopefully Fanning gets the pace right. first time visor might help.
J Candish first time visor. 8 from 24 last 5 years.
    13/2
Two sporting chances in two difficult races. Good luck.

  • yesterdays through the card list had 3 winners and 16 places the worst day since i started doing the lists.
my picks. star citizen was disappointing thought he would do better and dr rio was backed but in the end wasn’t good enough.
on to today just the one list today at lingfield. i looked at musselburgh but didn’t fancy it.
    LINGFIELD
14:55 herodotus / treaty of dingle / eventful
15:25 iballisticvin / princess siyouni / up the aisle
15:55 angels roc / decora / goldie hawk
16:30 john locke / war cross / josephine
    17:00 tulane / kirtling
17:30 fun mac / authers dream
18:00 mastic / sixntwothrees / code of silence
18:30 patient dream / greystoke / mandarin duck
19:00 gordonstoun / cuban cigar / uncle dick
    19:30 tawaafoq / seprani / awsaaf
    my picks
CUBAN CIGAR 8/1 (7:00) improved last time out with a step up to 7f. running off same mark today and carrying slightly less weight. has a favourable draw and jockey and trainer have a good strike rate here. not tried on a softer but i dont see that as a negative as no runs can confirm it.
    over in Ireland
    BELLEWSTOWN
    3:45 mostaqqer
    4:15 mister hitchcock
    4:45 provocareuse
    6:15 bashiyr

  • Hey Josh

wondering if you have any trainer stats for the Ayr Gold Cup in your files from previous seasons and if you could share them?

any other stats would be appreciated too, trying to get an early / ante post angle and as there is little decent racing until Doncaster

    thanks in advance

    • Hi Rick,

No problem, the link below is for last years stats/trend of interest for both Silver and Gold Cups, hopefully of some use. I’ll see what comes out with the 12 year stats nearer the time, prob Thursday before that race weekend etc.

      • GREAT

Thanks, I’ll make a start. I do have a few who look well treated so be interesting to see which fit the trends too.

I believe there is a strong trainer influence in the race

    • Also like Mutabaahy, has been hampered then badly drawn last two runs at Chester, showing in form and can win a race like this
