  1. North American racing- the two winners last night both had 30% rule 4 deductions. The early prices put up were 11/2 and 20/1.

  2. Apologies if this is the wrong place – but I was worried it wouldn’t be spotted
Has Colin & Martin or anyone else for that matter got any thoughts on the Players Championship this week?

    1. Hey… hmmm they haven’t been posting Gold views for weeks/months now, unless i’ve missed them! 🙂 Martin has his own service etc on that front which I should probably chat to him about! – I think Colin may have decided to focus on the horses etc. The racing post do some free Gold podcasts etc I think, I seem to do quite well?

    Morning Update with 1 extra
Morning all, One to add that’s drifted overnight/this morning. All three from last night are still fine despite shortening slightly.

    New Addition

3.45 Southwell. Puchita. win. 3.25 various

    Last night’s three:

    4.25 Southwell. Robero. Win (6 runners). was 11 Betfair Sportsbook/PaddyPower, 9.5 BetVictor/WillHill (being backed) but 15p deduction bringing this to 9.5 and 8.225. Now 8 PaddyPower/Betfair Sportsbook, 7.5 various

    6.15 Newcastle. Klopp. Win. was 3.75 Bet365, 3.5 various. Now 3.25 Ladbrokes, 3.125 BetVictor, 3 various

    6.45 Newcastle. Global Art. Each-way. was 12 SkyBet/WillHill/BetVictor. Now 10 various

    Here’s last night’s post:

    Three early bets
    4.25 Southwell. Robero. Win (6 runners). 11 Betfair Sportsbook/PaddyPower, 9.5 BetVictor/WillHill (being backed)

    6.15 Newcastle. Klopp. Win. 3.75 Bet365, 3.5 various

    6.45 Newcastle. Global Art. Each-way. 12 SkyBet/WillHill/BetVictor

Robero looks extremely well priced now dropping back into the class he’s been very competitive in through the winter and at the course where he’s won three of his last eight.

His one run at this distance saw him come 2nd to Sandridge Lad who was completing a course hat-trick and Robero recorded a time considerably quicker than any of tomorrow’s rivals have over course and distance.

It’s possible the markets are being thrown by a red herring in the jockey bookings with George Rooke riding stablemate Moveonup but Toby Eley returns to Robero’s saddle having won three of the five times they’ve been paired previously.

Klopp did little wrong when narrowly beaten at Newcastle last month, just finding one marginally better with the pair several lengths clear. Again, that was a time that stacks up well against tomorrow’s opposition despite the track running slowly that day. Trainer and jockey continue to be firing in the winners and their purple patch is showing no signs of slowing down, especially with sprinters.

Global Art comes back from a short break but has run well fresh the last twice. He hasn’t run at Newcastle before but his hold-up style should be suited to the course and the drop in trip is often a postive here, helping to get home and attack the stiff finish.

He was running better than the bare form suggests prior to his break, is the only one Ed Dunlop sends to Newcastle tomorrow and whereas the other obvious main candidates are appropriately priced, Global Art looks to have a bit of juice in his price.
