    Morning Update
Morning all. Three from last night. Slightly changed prices but no change to the advice.

    4.00 Lingfield. Purple Paddy. each-way
    . was 9.5 Unibet, 9 various. Now 9

5.45 Kempton. Embrace The Moment. each-way. was 7.5 various with 10p reduction bringing that down to 6.85. Now 6.5 Bet365/888Sport, 6 various. Still fine.

7.45 Kempton. Tintoretto. win. was 5.5 PaddyPower/Betfair Sportsbook/Unibet/BetVictor with 10p reduction bringing that down to 5.05. Now 4.33 Unibet, 4 various, a big bigger on exchanges. Positive noises from yard this morning and I like this one- stick with even at lower price.

    Here’s last night’s post:

    Three early ones
    4.00 Lingfield. Purple Paddy. each-way. 9.5 Unibet, 9 various

5.45 Kempton. Embrace The Moment. each-way. 7.5 various

    7.45 Kempton. Tintoretto. win. 5.5 PaddyPower/Betfair Sportsbook/Unibet/BetVictor

Tintoretto returned from a 6 month break and following a trainer change to be last of 5 at Lingfield a fortnight ago. However, there was plenty of encouragement in that run. They went at a real crawl and he was understandably too keen following his break and with the lack of pace. He then cornered very wide turning for home under an apprentice rider and lost a lot of ground but finished strongest of all and eventually wasn’t beaten far.

There are a number of reasons to expect improvement tomorrow. He should strip fitter for that run, settle better in the larger field with more pace a near certainty, there’s a jockey upgrade and he’s down in class.

He’s only had three runs on Polytract- the one just mentioned, a win in a maiden at Dundalk and a more than decent 3rd, not far behind a 107 rated Coolmore horse.

Market rivals are either up in class, returning from a break or badly drawn.

Riva’s Rob Roy is unsurprisingly the favourite in the 4.00 at Lingfield given that he was a wide margin winner at the track last week. Additionally, that was in an Apprentice Handicap and he’s actually 3lbs better off tomorrow, being able to run again without a penalty and with Darragh Keenan’s 3lb claim coming back into play. He’s a tricky one to understand because that’s his 2nd easy victory of the season and yet he’s struggled in between. It appears that he needs his own way out in front and he may get that again tomorrow.

However, tomorrow is an additional furlong (he’s failed to even place in 10 runs further than last week’s 7 furlongs), plus is a hidden but significant step up in grade with the gulf from last week’s 0-55 to tomorrow’s 0-65 making a great deal of difference despite both being classed as Class 6.

There are a few contenders with positives. Weloof has been second twice recently, form that has played out well, but was behind Taqeeb last time out after having to come from the rear and may have to do that again from another wide draw.

Taqeeb didn’t get a clear run but was under pressure from an early stage and will need to travel better if going to land a blow.

The inside opened up for The Warrior to score over course and distance a fortnight ago but Purple Paddy wasn’t far behind and was closing. Purple had been very keen but despite that finished strongly. From a helpful draw and with Riva’s Rob Roy likely to stretch them out, he should settle better and looks a strong contender to come through in the run for home.

Back to Kempton and Embrace The Moment looks likely to improve for stepping up in trip. He’s been running well but showing the classic signs of needing further- getting outpaced before staying on- and gets that tomorrow. Ben Curtis perseveres and being unexposed at this distance may be capable of a bit more than mainly more exposed rivals.
