  1. Not much to go at today, Sedgefield looks like a favourite backers day, or at least top 2 in the market, only one i like at a decent price is Kings Odyssey 4-20 @ 8-1. Huntingdon is not that much better , Pray For A Rainbow 2-50 could have a squeak amd Marmont might outrun his odds in the 4-30.
Over the sea i do like Woods Well in the 4-40.
A couple of “why run this one here” H3-55 Baby King upped in trip for the first time at 11yo and L3-55 Tandem hasn’t won a hurdle for 5 years but the booking of Rachel sparked my interest.

  2. No bets today,
February proved to be a rather difficult month, please let the ground dry out!!!

    ON THE BRIDLE
    Jan + 37.583

There are my results from a tricky Jan/Feb
    Colin.

  3. Quite Sunday so tales of the turf, mentioned about Mel Brittains yard last time, i had the perfect job in sales for could divert for an evening meeting after work.
Anyway through my involement with the racing club got to know many of the staff through going racing a lot in Yorkshire.
All the adults who turned up would gather around Mel and whoever, however his 14 year old son was mostly ignored now a successful trainer after taking over the running of the yard Adrian Brittain.
Always spoke to the lad and can recall he would always give me a mention of what his dad said about what he had heard from other stables has well has his own.
One day went to Pontefract with another bookmaker John, anyway Adrian said to me one horse from a Newmarket yard could not get beat today according to his dad and it would later win the Gymcrack.
Cannot remember the horses name, it opened at Evens, John and myself tried to find one that could possibly beat it, then John said did you see that that scruffy chap has just put £5, 000 on out of that carrier bag, i of coarse had seen nothing, John went behind the boards to confirm the transaction with his bookmaker eyes, confirmed the transaction had taken place so we both baked it think i had £40 on which around 1989 was a lot of money, well it managed to scrape home in a photo after nearly giving me an heart attack, and it did not win the Gymcrack.
So scruffy men in anorack’s with a plastic carrier maybe far better off than you!!!!maybe.
Next time having gone over old letters and photos yesterday will tell you of my worst days racing when Dai lost his probably best ever horse at Cheltenam November meeting 1990 according to the programme, an horrific day.
    Colin.

  5. The Paul Nicholls in February, 1 run in 90 angle ended +59.75 points at the prices I got best on at. So very good. I am going to track the same through March at BFSP. I will update how it is going as and when.

The North American racing tips ended the month 4/61 -31.5 and so very disappointing after a successful initial test period. I am carrying on posting through March. I will report results on a monthly ongoing basis and then accumulate at month end.

  6. North American racing on Sunday.

Gulfstream race 12, 10.34 UK, Elite Appeal 10/1.

    Good luck.
