Below are the ‘trainer records’ for three handicaps from Sandown on Saturday. Naturally Trainers are creatures of habit and if any of the below have runners in said races, they may be worth some further attention – especially those who’ve won a race more than once >>> Do post a comment if you fancy anything from these races…

    • Hi Gbster, yes Jeffrey Harris is on my radar as worthy of a look. Back around 3pm.

  • Good afternoon G and anyone playing at Newcastle today. Quite a tricky card, and the more I look the more I fancy, always a bad sign. Anyway, here we go :

5.00 Brushwork could be anything and is tricky to weigh up on his hcp debut. Charlie Hills said this morning: “he has two wins over course and distance and must be the one to beat today.” If you regularly read the Lambourn Trainers website you will know you rarely get such a bullish verdict so if you do play in this race you can’t leave this one out of calculations. At bigger odds I like Glenamoy Lad and Big Les. Mrs McLintock does well with this jock up and also has a good strike rate with her last time out winners 10/32 16p. Glenamoy Lad’s trainer is 6/15 8p at the track over the last year. The hoss is seemingly out of form but the return to this surface might work the oracle. I’m backing Brushwork and Big Les if the money comes otherwise G. Lad.

7.00 Eluethera is interesting over from Ireland and down a grade. Well drawn too. We’ve touched on Jeffrey Harris, got to have a good chance with those trainer/jock stats. Herringswell is a CD winner up 6lb for her win here last time out. Mi Capricho is interesting at a big price trying 6f for the first time. Should really sit this one out but cannot resist small bets on Eluethera and Jeffrey, EW for Mi Capricho.

    Good luck to all
