1.My Tips

Daily Chase Tips: Main (2019: 19/100, 34p +43.8) Jumps Festival Tips (2018:+143; 2019: 6/99,27p, -45.8,)

Daily Chase Tips: Main

(handicap chases, 2m7f+, C4+)

None, I’ve had a look but not much to attack today – a couple of novice hncps I don’t wish to play in, generally too much guesswork, the 3 miler at Hunt isnt a great race, and I’ve promised to leave Ireland alone bar any big handicaps/nationals/festivals etc.

Grainyhill may be interesting to a point in that 2m6f at Punch, an eye-catcher from LTO, but i’d want bigger than 4s – that seemed a crunching fall to my eyes only 10 days ago, and it was a slog. Whether this drop in trip/better ground is what he wants, i’m not sure. Hopefully he goes well but I couldn’t wade in at that price personally. If it hasn’t affected him he may not be far away.

4.General messages/updates/new reports etc

A big day for us tomorrow, as she lines up in the 4.10 – she’s back to herself, in the right stage of her menstrual cycle (you try to avoid running them when in heat!) and this was the most appropriate race on the horizon – hopefully there’s not too much rain and it’s Good to Soft at worse. I’m not sure we’d run her on proper soft, albeit I think she’d be worth a go on it again as she’s a different horse to last year- and if Cabaret Queens connections took the view that she won’t handle it (with little evidence), they wouldn’t have won £60k, as an aside.

Anyway, she’s over her minor infection from LTO and hopefully that experience hasn’t affected her mentally. We will find out tomorrow. It looks a winnable race to my eyes. She is progressive and runs off 125 here, only 4lb above her demolition job two starts back. Every indication from home is that she could/should be a better chaser, she’s still growing and schools so well. This race will tell us plenty more, and for example she’s beaten the Alan King mare easily enough over hurdles. You couldn’t be confident going into tomorrow , even with my biased eyes – more hopeful. IF she runs her race and jumps, she could beat those and win it well, esp with race fitness. So, fingers crossed. If she’s an EW price i’ll have a little dabble 🙂 Hopefully she pings the first 3/4, tracking the pace in 3rd/4th, and is clearly enjoying herself. We shall have some fun if so.

The Tizzard/Lavelle horses are open to further progress over fences, and Keighley has a LTO winner. So, competitive enough, to a point, but I think she’ll be better than everything in here, in time. But, I suppose I would say that! 🙂

  1. Liking 10s for Super, especially since bookies seem to have no clue she was unwell last time and is not built for chasing apparently! Let’s hope she proves them wrong!!!
