None, i’ve looked at the 2 miler from Worc and the 2m6f chase at Galway, but I couldn’t be tempted in.

Really Super (2.20 Worc)

An exciting day ahead. Sadly I can’t make it to the course this time but i’ll be watching enthusiastically on tv. If she’s in the same form as LTO and jumps in public as well as she does at home, then I’d say she’s the one to beat here. I don’t think it’s a great bunch and everything has a question or two. Whether 5/2 is value for a chase debutant, i’m not sure, as on track is always very different to the schooling grounds, albeit there should be plenty of room today. But, i’ll dream of her winning in the same style as LTO, and with her 7lb mares allowance. She’s miles clear on HRB ratings,  top on Inform ‘master’ and ‘master/average’. Hopefully she’s a natural, attacks them, and we can go on from here. The plan is to ride her handy and give her a clear sight of her fences. If nothing else is giving a lead/going fast enough, Jack won’t be afraid to send her on. I’m trying to take my owners blinkers off – but I do think this race is all about ‘her’ and how she jumps/whether she’s in the same mood as LTO. The rest will struggle if she is, to my eyes anyway.

  1. Josh,
Good luck today with RS, I think she’s definitely the one to beat if taking to jumping competitively straight away. Fingers crossed for a clear round and her getting home in one piece.

    1. thanks Chris, yep that’s always the main concern. And watching a chaser is always more nerve-wracking. I’m not sure who may go on – Sean and Dicky like to if they can, but the latter is making chase debut so may not be ultra aggressive and the Bowen horse has been keen on most of his runs, and back up in trip they may want cover. If she jumps well, Jack may just find himself at the front soon enough. She has been pinging them at home, but always different in a race. Fingers crossed.

    1. Cheers Lee…hmm well I don’t have a great record with doubles etc! If I was track side, which sadly I can’t be today, i’d have a go at Howlongisafoot in the first race. 13/2 seems fair, esp as he returned to some sort of form LTO, his mark has fallen through the floor, and a headgear change – he’s gone from a prolonged period of CP to Blinkers before, and hacked up in a C3 chase off 111. He’s not the force of old but that’s an awful race. I try and avoid the C5s for tipping purposes, but he may give you a good spin. Or he may be ridden furiously early, and tail off.

  2. well after a couple of weeks of not having enough time to even scratch my arse i’ve got a bit of time this morning, done 1 race and am off out with the dog but should have enough time to look at another later.
Worcester 1-50. couldn’t back Beni Light 7-4 at such a short price up 7lbs for win lto and has never raced further than 2m4f, Howlongisafoot 13-2 is a real quandary hasn’t won over fences for over 2 years that was in a class 3 off 11st2lbs runs today in a class 5 off 10st3lbs which tells a story. couldn’t resist £3 ew @ 32.0 3 places on old boy Cruising bye but my main bet is Master Sunrise 1pt ew @ 13-2 bog 4 places, been raced from 2m to 4m but only 2 wins have come over todays distance 1 of them here also a couple of good places here as well, has won on good going but won’t mind if it dries up a bit seems to have been overlooked considering his overall record, could very well drift in price as there seems to be a bit of money coming for a couple of others so backed with a bookie i still get bog at.

    1. Thirsk 5-00. quite a few in here that i have backed in the past and it is a bit of a minefield with Sfumato,Start Time and Twin Appeal all having good shouts but what peaked my interest was Uncle Charlie 1pt ew @10-1 bog wh, recently had WS and could well bounce back.
has won over distance, course, class and going in the past and is a fair price .

    2.40 Barrsbrook BOG 4/1

    3.30 Fairy Fast BOG 10/1
    3.30 Indian Pursuit BOG 6/1
    5.00 Sfumato BOG 9/2
1.50 Worcester Beni Light BOG 7/4
    2.40 Brighton Barrsbrook BOG 4/1
4.10 Brighton Joyful Dream BOG 13/8
3.30 Thirsk Indian Pursuit BOG 6/1

    2.40 Barrsbrook BOG 4/1
    3.10 It’s How We Roll BOG 3/1
    3.40 Juanito Chico BOG 7/2
