PLEASE NOTE….

On Sunday from around 1pm i’m going to attempt (well my technical support!) installing some new fancy engagement software which with any luck may improve how you can engage with the comments/forum etc.

This will be trial and error and it’s likely the blog will be down for a short time in the afternoon. I’m going to be travelling back from Bristol – down here for another wedding! (not mine) on Sunday but will be in contact with my friend who looks after the website etc. With any luck come Sunday evening the comments function will be much improved.

  1. I’m off to Redcar races on Saturday if anyone has any pointers to a few winners it will be much appreciated. Cheers Steve

    1. a few ew pokes that might be worth looking at:
      2-20. Taadawol/Give it some teddy
      2-55. Hajjam/Whinmoor
      4-35. Nearly there
      5-05. Kittys Cove

  2. i don’t know about the rest of you but after the last 2 years of the shergar cup i’m leaving Ascot well alone tomorrow.
couple of bets i’ve had early doors.
    Haydock 3-40. Antagonize 20-1 1/2 pt ew
Newmarket 3-45. West End Girl 11-2 1pt win

    1. A winner is a winner is a winner. The bookies still payout and there are reserves and so they cannot drop races to seven runners to reduce each way payouts.

Perhaps the teams could be football clubs or formula one teams and celeb supporters ride? Who does Christopher Biggins support?

    2. I’ve got some new systems that show promise and they put up a few at Ascot so I’ll add them into my tips.

      Nothing ventured and all that…

      1. How long have you been testing the systems Chris? What was the sample size? I am always interested in such things.

        1. A week.

I developed on 2014 to 2018. Applied to 2019 with great success. Had to back them straight away.

This week 7/21, +45.10 to bsp.

          1. Good sample size. Would any of the factors have been affected by time, in that things in 2019 would be different from when the data started? I guess not.
A week is very short but you can only test these things I guess and although you should be paper trading for a while, lower level stakes do give you skin in the game and so make it more meaningful.

Looking forward to see how things go.

  3. COLINS BETS

    1. Not sure I like Desert Doctor? I do not like the word ‘hopefully’ in the trainers comments. i will include in my analysis though.

      1. From the Charlie Hills stable I would include 2,55 Redcar, Mutaraffa and 3.20 Chelmsford, Global falcon.

  5. My Nap of the day is….3.55 Chelmsford, California Love, 5/1 now, for 2 points win.

Next best is….3.05 Haydock, Raise You, 11/4 now, 2 points win.

    Good luck.

  6. Lambourn
    No further bets
    Charles Hills
Mutaaraffa in the 2.55 Redcar ground now gd/soft not run on this in public before so not for me.
Global Falcon in the 3.20 Chelmsford only had one run on the AW did not get placed,so also not having run over the distance not for me.

  7. one for tomorrow, Windsor 3-35. Pettochside 14-1 skybet 1/2 pt ew, looks overpriced to me and i expect him to go off a good few points shorter. even though now in his veteran years 67 looks a very good mark considering he ran off 95 in his hayday and the drop back to C5 should give him every chance.
can you please move this to today’s page if you see it Josh, thanks and Happy Birthday.
