Tipping Comp: 22/07/19

Monday’s selections…

The JULY Tipping Competition

Because I don’t have any tipping league software set up as yet, I rely on trusting you to keep an accurate record and obey the rules! 🙂 It doesn’t work otherwise as I don’t have the time to keep track etc.

The Rules

  • The comp will run for the duration of April
  • A minimum of 20 ‘tips’ per month (horses only!)
  • A MAXIMUM of 180 tips per month (average 6 a day or so, but no daily limit, just monthly)
  • Tips recorded to 1 point win
  • Tips recorded to Betfair Starting Price (excluding commission deductions)
  • Tips posted in the comments below (any horse posted in this post,is clearly a tip)
  • Tips posted at least 1 hour before the selection runs.
  • The winner – whoever has the Biggest positive Return On Investment %
  • The prize: TBC
  • I have the final say on everything. 🙂

How to find BFSP?

Apparently you can find BFSP on Attheraces website, without needing to register, or…

…the timeform website here>>> https://www.timeform.com/horse-racing/results/today

You just need to register a free account. EG an 8.00 winner is  +7 points profit, to 1 point win. Easy

  4. To date 9/70 -6 BFSP.

2.00 Ayr, Night Law; 3.05 Ayr, Epona; 5.45 Win, Spice Of Life; 6.15 Win, Tilly Tamworth; 6.50 Win, Elizabeth Bennet; 7.20 Win, Joegogo; 7.50 Win Cape Islay.

    Good luck.

  5. Beverley 8.00 Lamloom

This 7f is very good for early leaders, 4 candidates, and you can’t rule any out on jockey bookings. Lamloom is easily best handicapped of the 4, now 4lb higher than a 2.25l win 2 runs back, possibly 2lb in hand. Poor run last time over 8f, stewards report says:

“The performance of LAMLOOM (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered. David O’Meara explained that the gelding ran too freely from a wide draw on this occasion. His explanation was noted and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination during routine testing of LAMLOOM (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.” OK, David, I’ll ignore the run.

    Windsor 8.50 Casement

Geegeez says advantage to the early leader. 2 possibles, Dependable doesn’t seem to have any realistic chance because of the drop back to 8f so Casement it is. He’s fairly handicapped now 3lb higher than a 1.75l win 5 runs ago. Poor runs 3 of last 5, all 3 times he did not lead. Wish I knew what Ali Rawlinson intends to do with him tonight.

    Beverley 7.00 Gorgeous General (Nap)

One of three system selections. Sweet Marmalade was a non-runner yesterday for Lawrence Mullaney. Another odd-looking jockey booking, he’s 0/12 for the yard and hasn’t been used since October. Maybe Mullaney does it so the jockey is completely in the dark about the horse’s chance until he meets them at the course, stops them spilling the beans, wild guess.

    July running total 2/44, -8.77.
