Daily Chase Tips: Main

None, Ffos Las isn’t very appealing tomorrow.

Daily Chase Tips: Test (14/07/19>: 0/2,1p,-2)

(these are in ‘test’ simply because I have no record of long term success in races outside of staying chases/the big Festival handicaps…that simple. There’s no reason I shouldn’t be profitable in chases shorter than 2m7f in time, but those above take my priority and i’ve been good at those long term since I started this blog. You may wish to await evidence as to whether i’m any good at shorter distances, or not. The same effort will be going in, time allowing after any race analysis above)

None.

Final call (well I may post once more on Sunday)… nearly 1/3 of you have complete this and would be useful to add a few more. Thanks to those of you who’ve completed it so far, plenty for me to absorb and ponder…

Your Views Appreciated: RTP Members Club Survey

Below is a link to a short survey (shouldn’t take more than 5-10 mins) asking for your views on this members’ club – how you engage with the content, what you may want more of and room for free text comments on what you like, and what you would improve. I think it’s anonymous and you don’t have to leave feedback in the free text questions if you don’t wish, however these are always most useful. There’s also the odd question on your racing code preferences and how you’d describe your level of racing knowledge 🙂

Please not most of the questions are ‘tick boxes’ where you can select as many answers as you wish >>>

PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY HERE>>>>

Thanks. Josh

NEW VIDEO

I’ve recorded a 20 min video with my process within HorseRaceBase for how I researched the Tim Vaughan angle shared a few days back. These sorts of videos can’t be any shorter 🙂 (the tipping/review ones can!) But for those of you who like systems research etc you may find it interesting. (the half blacked out screen disappears after 1 min, not sure what happened there)

You can watch it within youtube HERE>>>

(not sure that link was working, should be as of 11am with any luck)

  1. Eric the Third, 8.00 Ffos Las, is a runner from Ben’s Summer Stunners today. Provided the going remains good or better all prime conditions are met and he is currently available at 9/2.

    1. Thanks for posting these Johnny . Have you any idea how successful ( or otherwise ) , they have been ?

      1. Discounting the one which ran in France, I make it 3 winners from 8 runners to date, the winners were at SPs of 7/2, 15/8 and 6/4.
I can’t give precise figures but I know there was a healthy profit last year with a couple of double figure priced winners.

  3. Sorry for the late post but just wanted to say thanks for the through the card at York last week Josh. Came out in profit on the day so a good day all round.

    1. no probs – I was hoping you’d backed the two winners…hopefully you got better than SP on both. I was annoyingly close to the last two winners also, but talked myself out of them. Both may have won their previous races with luck in running. Oh well, i’ll take 2 every time, esp when one was 10s/11s, well backed. Glad you had a good day.

  4. Well my recent acca returns have gone similar to rory’s golf on the first tee! Staked £90.79 returns £110.56.

  5. Hi Leif, are you Colin’s alter ego? If so you need to think of a better nom de plume than just switching your names around 🙂

    1. Haha he’s mine! He’ll be changing his name soon to disassociate himself from me I imagine.

  6. Looked at several today but tricky to recommend anything with confidence but a couple for this evening may be worth a tentative punt:
    5.40.Leop. Na Caith Tobac e/w.

Did look at For The Trees for a win only bet but thought the selection was worth an e/w stab based on pedigree….was a lot bigger earlier before the non runners but still value at around 16/1.

    7.50. Leop. Mohawk w/o

Based on my figures will take a lot of beating now Cape of Good Hope is a non runner…Tinandali won easily at Navan but the speed over the 8f was only 34.56 mph (average for the distance is 36.74) whereas Mohawk in a course and distance adjustment would have run 38.17 mph so has to be the choice…both Ancient Spirit and Up Helly Aa are of interest but think the selection will have the beating of them….hopefully a bit more of a variety of selections tomorrow and Saturday.

      1. Thanks…was fav though from a good stable so not an earth shattering choice…just that the figures stacked up with Up Helly Aa following the fav home…glad to get a winner on the board

    1. Thanks Silver, I emptied one of my banks on Mohawk as it was getting low, now nicely topped up cheers 🙂

  7. I take your point about it being AOB etc but I would not have backed it without your time data. Thanks again, keep em coming!!
