Daily Tips

None, no jumps.

Free Bet... if any of you backed Brave Eagle yesterday through Bet365, and it was your first bet on the race, you’ve got a free bet on the 2pm Pontefract. I’ve just put mine on Gullane One at 10s.

Flat Test 2019

5.00 Ponte – Regal Mirage -1 point win – 9/2 UP 11/2, went to plan until last 1.5f or so. Suspect they may step him up in trip now, pro on top and he’ll be more patiently ridden

I noted this one LTO when he chased home a winning test tip, with the right horse back in 3rd. It was a return to form and he was surrounded by in-form horses, suggesting it was a decent run. The RPR was good, a 75, which was his best since September, confirming  a return to form of sorts. The horse has won when making a quick return before and any Geegeez users will see how he jumps out somewhat on Instant Expert (win), esp withe GF in the going. He’s versatile ground wise and plenty in here have needed cut to show their best historically. He won’t mind it fast. It is a Lady Amateur riders race but the jockey has ridden a winner recently. I do wonder if they may be more aggressive on him here from this draw, knowing he stays further. He drops in class here and I thought 9/2 was fair. If he runs his race, and gets a decent ride, he’ll be bang there and should be staying on at the end. If he hits the front at any point in the straight I’m hopeful that will be game over for the rest.

That’s all for today.

that’s all for today, as of 08.10

    • Nice yankee Mike, thanks for posting. Did it as a lucky 15 for small 1pound stakes for a return of just over 200! Thanks once again, best wishes, Tom.

  • Lambourn, well Charlie Hills once again on saturday was on the mark with his view on Bartholomeu Dais finishing 4th at 14/1 and Jamie Osbourne had a 3rd at 9/1 so anyone backing ew way would have made a profit out of the 3 bets.

Hills and Osbourne not put their views up yet

  • Lovely 2 biggies at Cartmel yesterday for the stats.Wells De Lune was a no brainer really.100% record at Cartmel, horse that likes to bowl along from the front,a reminder after the last and not for catching.I suppose that’s why a lot of us jumps followers go into a reverse hibernation over the summer.

    • ha, yep a nice boost for the ES+ qualifiers there, you can usually set your clock with Bowen at Cartmel over time – alas I didn’t look at either horse/race! But yep, in hindsight ticked plenty of boxes as you say, and any horse you think may get a soft time on the front end is always worth a fair bit of scrutiny. Horse must enjoy the Cartmel air.

  • Had my free bet on Mr Orange (tipped by a couple of reputable sources) in the 2.00 at Ponty. I see that Mujassam in the same race is in to 4s from 8s, no doubt the result of Colin highlighting it twice! Regal Mirage in the 5.00 is now available at 8/1 if you want to dive in again Josh.

Vivant is an entry from Ben’s Summer Stunners today however as it’s running at Clairefontaine (4.55) I’m not sure what to make of it. 2m 2f may be a bit short of ideal distance, but at 20/1 ………
