2.My Tips (Daily Tips/Big Race Tips)

Daily (2017:+110,2018: -22.2, 2019: 8/58, 17p +2.6)  Big Race Tips (2018:+143; 2019 Jumps 4/86,22p, -53, 2019 Flat TEST 3/11,4p, +3.25)

Nothing from me today. I’ve had a look at the 7.30 FL – I don’t really want to be with Fortunes Hiding at 2s, but there’s nothing I want to take him on with either, at the prices. He is the most solid/progressive/fit/in form in the race. He does have to prove he’ll stay this far but he wasn’t stopping LTO, he will race prominently, and that performance is good ‘on the figures’, suggesting the handicapper doesn’t have him yet. Were he 7/2+ I may have had a go but that’s just a bit short for me.

Not complaints with yesterday’s efforts, a solid if well beaten 3rd. Icantsay is going to make all at some point this summer. I’m pleased the 2nd didn’t win on the back of x2 PUs, the first when I tipped him at Cheltenham. My other pick was creeping along at the back of the back but suffered race ending interference when another horse came down sadly, so i’ll never know. I’m not sure i’m ever touching the evergreen 11yo winner at 7s or so on morning odds, bring Perth form to the table! And I didn’t think his 3rd LTO would be good enough to do that there, but I got that wrong. He was one of the few fit/in form horses, and most others did have questions.

  1. Evening Josh, off to Aintree on Friday with a few pals and just wondered if you would be able to have a run through the card for us? Cheers

  4. Ropey stuff generally today. No HCP bets on the screen at all this morning. Just the one novice bet at Chepstow for the board.

    Chep’ 3.00 Ivatheengine………… 10.0

    1. damn, unlucky Tim, I fancied that one EW in the ‘through the card’ in free post, backed him once you posted (i don’t follow your hncp ones as yet), win only BFSP, 16s… he wins that if not blowing the start, can’t believe he got so close, but those efforts just told late/exp of winner/rail won out. Promising first run, such a shame he wasn’t quicker away.

    2. yes great effort from a bad start, had it in a ew double with Swanton Blue so got over 5-1 on my money 🙂

  5. Agree with the ropey stuff comment from Tim so had a look at 3.00 YORK tomorrow. In terms of speed difficult to see past Invincible Army as has the fastest over the distance clocking on two occasions 38.34 mph and 38.39 mph over 6f …Major Jumbo was 2 lengths behind Invincible Army at Doncaster and at 12/1 currently must have an e/w shout..Yafta has clocked 38.18 mph and is closely matched with Brando who was beaten by Yafta by a neck. Others of interest are Hey Jonsey as a 4 yo and think this is the second run after a wind op so my get some improvement there. George Bowen has a form line with Major Jumbo but has not beaten that horse in previous encounters, and cannot see any reason why the horse will turn around the form now. El Astronaute is intriguing as the horse has never run over 6f so why now at the age of 6? The horse ran i a G3 lto over 5f and has run and won over a genuine 5.5 f..the last one in Oct 2018 at Maison-Laffite in listed race winning in a speed of 39.98 mph so connections must surely think the horse has the stamina to see out the extra 110 yds and at 25/1 is worthy of consideration…hope this is helpful and gd lck with whatever you choose to back.

    1. great write up as always Silver cheers for doing these, might tip my toe in on El Astronaute .

      1. You’re welcome..will be having some on El Astronaute myself e/w as worth a punt…these races are tricky so caution advised.
