  1. At a loose end Sunday evening so I’d thought I’d look at tomorrows cards.
Forgive me father for I know not what I do.

    Redcar 2.30 – Ninjago 10/1

Now I’ve probably been dropped onto my head a few too many times to pick this but looking through the field for this race I feel over 6f on g/f it has a great chance because the rest of them don’t enthuse over these conditions as much as this old timer does.
Men in white coats I hear approaching????

  2. Fairyhouse 17:00

    WHISPERINTHEBREEZE 22/1 gen 1pt win
    GUN DIGGER 25/1 1pt win
    C`EST JERSEY 20/1 1pt win
    KIMBERLITE CANDY 33/1 1pt win

Write up to follow in morning.

  3. System selections:

Emma Lavelle handicappers 5/1 + : If below 5/1 no bet; if 5/1 and under 8/1 then 2 points win; 8/1 or more then 1 point each way.

    2.25 PLU, Fortia.
    3.45 CHP, Full Irish.
    4.00 HUN, Junction Fourteen.

A nice 33/1 to 16/1 winner on Sunday from 5 qualifiers for Karl Burke at Southwell. I know that some of you were on so good job.

    1. WHISPERINTHEBREEZE
Well, this fella again owes me nothing, but, is thrown in down the bottom of a Hcp chase, he is still progressing and i think Cheltenham`s undulations found him wanting lto, take that out of the equation and he is a top horse by all accounts. I can hear Josh saying he doesn`t stay, but, Mrs Harrington knows how to play this game and i have trusted her judgement quite a few times over the years at placing horses and today is no exception! He will be up with the pace and so long as he doesn`t get bullied out of it close home can see him staying on up the hill with all the others chasing, hopefully nothing comes out of the pack…the price is built in with that in mind though and i cannot see the 22`s lasting long!
      GUN DIGGER
If i select WITB, then I have to select his conqueror, GD is another low in the weights and still progressing, he was left in front of a big race over Christmas at Punchestown and WITB was following him home that day. I believe he would have still won that day, but, he did what he needed to which is stay on his feet, (it`s what the games all about), it`s always hard to know what Gigginstown are aiming at here and they do have a scatter-gun approach that most of the time works, but, leaves us punters scratching our heads, today is no exception, this i believe is the “main” one though and at the price is value!
      C`EST JERSEY
If GGtown have a scatter-gun approach then I suppose Mr Mullins has a shrewdie approach, he will have looked at his horses time and again and will know which one of the seven he thinks most likely to win today. I read his column in the RP on Saturday, really good read every week and he said of this one that although it is a maiden in Hcp chase company, he expected it to be “in the shake-up”. I agree, low weight, Katie taking another 5 off, price is value, trained by Mr Mullins…what else is there to say!?
      KIMBERLITE CANDY
Well my own scatter-gun approach ends with this fella, he by-passed Cheltenham and Aintree to be aimed at this, to me that means a lot, as he has speed/pace figures to die for in my opinion, the price is unbelievable for a horse on the up , yes, he didn`t quite make the jump up in class lto, but, think that was because of the going, this better ground will help and i believe his turn of foot at the end of a race will help him if he is closest near the finish.

As always hope all horses and jockeys come back safe and sound and good luck with whatever you select today!

      1. I tend to agree with you about KC Stewart, just hope that it doesn’t come down to a tight finish and Richie McClernon doesn’t seem to be the strongest in a tight corner. Then again, he keeps the ride and if Tom Lacey had booked Dickie J he would have been 18’s rather than the 40’s I grabbed yesterday.
M y other one is Gun Digger with Jack Kennedy up.
        Here’s hoping.
        Hugh

      2. Best of luck Stewart. It looks a minefield this year and yours look to have a good as chance as any.
Mullins…whatever his approach is to this race it hasn’t worked as yet given his woeful record in it… Money has poured on the fav though. Maybe we will all just be chasing his tail! He does have a good profile but for us anyway let’s hope this hurly burly is too much for him /and he doesn’t stay.
Kimberlite … We have read him different re ground haha. His best form has been in the mud. I didn’t like his jumping LTO and I tipped him there. I thought that may have been to do with the better ground and it taking out of comfort zone. And it could be faster here today. That risk is built into his price though and I did stare at him for a time. This is the hottest race he’s run in though, much more competitive than the Eider. But so many in here have jumping niggles. I wouldn’t fall off my seat if he gave you a thrill!
I find it hard /near impossible to back horses going into these races that PU/Fell LTO so I wasn’t that close to any of those if they go in. This has a strange feel about it this year. Horses have won this race with no previous winning form beyond 21f so we shall see. I didn’t like how Gun D jumped LTO but Jack is quite an upgrade and he may go much better. Best of luck! I won’t be shocked if I’m saying well done in a few hours but had various reasons why I didn’t like those haha.

        1. Thanks Josh, likewise yourself and others who have put there head above the parapet! I think you may be right..I spent an absolute age looking at this race and at Tout est Permis also?!? Too many ifs and buts about most of them. I have had shrapnel covering bets on yours, so, hopefully one of us will out the day!!

      3. Well, can`t complain at that, WITB clearly doesn`t stay the extra distance…Punchestown festival anyone, shorter distance…? Got a right spin for my money there and as i said he doesn`t owe me anything, was always looking back and seeing Mr Walsh pulling double….Odd race though as Josh said, but, Mr Mullins is on fire!

        1. Oh that winner wasn’t a shock sadly, but pleased he got up and not one of his bigger priced stable mates which would have been annoying! Winner was the other potential open graded horses of future. Assume bigger was around yesterday but his price crashed this morning. 6s not tempting me in there sadly. Having said that my three were poor, a PU, Meade’s has run well to a point but weak in market and didn’t seem to get home. The other was never in it, plenty of interference and too far back. Not that it mattered given winner but have to take those on at prices long term, enough of them don’t do that. About time Mullins won that race, given he was 0/34 3p in it since 1997. Clearly worked out what’s needed at lot last! Not surprised none of Elliots placed, very much throwing darts this year and hoping.

Ah winner was 20s midweek, Wed/Thursday. Can’t say I looked in depth until before today!

  11. Just wanted to wish nick all the best , class is permanent, form is temporary! I remember reading Alex birds book many years ago and he had long losing runs , he was deemed to be the best gambler in history . The people who take their time to share their knowledge, should be protected on the site , I would suggest a tipping page and a separate comments page . Then the tipsters can choose when to read the comments?

  12. What a day! A whole plethora of meetings and sod all on my screen. All the jumps qualifiers are soft ground dependent with the exception of one. As for the flat I have three qualifiers, all SP Rank =0 so can be backed at any odds, but 2 of them are in the same race and the one other has already been backed in from 11/2 into 3/1.

Anyways…. as I said earlier in the week, I’m just putting them up as they appear on the screen. No more intervention on my part as whatever I do it always seems to screw things up. It is what it is and I can only pin my faith on the past 5 year returns chart.

    Fake’ 2.55 Ravenous…….. HCP

Is no non HCP action for me today, not much strength in depth about them for me. Only good thing going for today is that there are no evening meets.

  13. Having been away for 3 weeks in Thailand paid in part by following Nick for over a year, I have caught up with the posts. I do find a lot of the recent nonsense from a certain members posts and the members of the club within a club, a distraction from the effort Josh and Nick et al give to the site for the benefit of us all. To critique other people’s selections when you don’t believe in banks, P/L records, etc and then post comments on others selections, for the good of the presumed ignorance of the members who are too stupid to make a reasoned judgement on what they back, I find all rather patronising from CN. Everyone on here is an adult and has to take full responsibility for their own personal betting. There’s lots of guidance from members about betting most of which CN has put down in one way or another. He can of course just ignore it or just put up how he bets without having a pop at others. I very rarely comment on here. I do enjoy reading how Nick, Josh and Hugh go about their methods of finding winners and have improved my betting no end with help from Marin C. I personally don’t see the point of putting reams of selections from various methods that only the person putting up the selections knows how they came about, but each to their own. Putting up selections with a reasoned explanation can only aid your own betting. CN is undoubtedly a clever guy who knows exactly what he is doing. That’s the polite version, he’s basically a sh*t stirring a**ehole

  14. Going through some old methods and this is a freebie for anyone who wishes to record it.
    1Fell, 1PU, 1Unseated etc Chasers only
Aprils profit so far Bookmakers SP only
5 wins from 18 bets totally system/method no looking to deep into it, will not record odds on.
Won 9/4, 4/1, 8/1, 11/2 and 6/4, for a profit of 8.250 points, not the largest winning prices at the moment, remember my first ever bet on this was in the mid eighties and the horse was Proper Charlie, what a name but it won at 20/1

Again the form figures put many off, but there can be valid reason for pulling up not enjoying ground and save the horse for another day, the jockey may feel the horse is not running at 100% and better to pull up to be safe, and even falling can be valid reason for this.
Again last time looked at this simple method was about 15 years ago so please do not rush in and back it till you have proven it to yourself.
Never looked at Irish racing for the method and have never recorded them from the past.

      1. Me too guys. Nick’s record is second to none, beats ALL paid for services (most of them bull shine) i have ever encountered in terms of proven results. I think it s a great pity about what has happened and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a purple patch for rest of April.

        1. I think that Nick just fancies a break. It is always nice to have a break from what you do from time to time. The racing is not good at present and so it makes sense to take a break now (and the sun is out!). There are tipsters out there who do make a consistent profit but I will not name them as it takes away from this site.
Those that want to tip each day have their chance on this site. Like what was said you can pick apart anyone’s selections if you wish to. It is probably best to share knowledge and experience so that we all help one another, which is likely more useful than just tipping.

      1. SBC Wolverhampton Update

Good morning G and other sandboys. Some interesting races at W today, so here are my selections for what they are worth, any input welcomed.

2.10 – I think this is between Street Poet and Traveller.

3.55 – Viola Park as a speculative bet to regain form, Naralsaif the danger.

4.30 – tricky but Captain Ryan could bounce back on the AW from a poor turf run.

5.05 – a cracking betting heat. Needs a few darts for us Silly Boys who like a dew so Para Mio, Dream Magic and Movie Star.

        VP George, any comments?

I put a couple of methods up on the site and do not wish to reveal how i come about finding them, for have been in contact with a couple of contacts who are going to trial The New Method which is really an old method from 1st of May for they know my pedigree, and will continue to put them up here under the New Method, so sometimes there are reasons why there is no write ups and not able to back with bookmakers decided to do a trial with people i know to get an income coming in again.
Have worked hard over the years to come up with my methods and do not mind putting the bets up, but to reveal my methods no.
      Colin.

    2. Nobody makes you read any post you don’t want to, and either way there is no need to be abusive, Chubnut never is however much you disagree with him.

      1. I don’t comment much either but read every day. Can this all stop by any chance? Whatever you may think of an individual and how they go about things, insulting methods is doing no favours to anyone. Chubnut pulled out 3 winners on Saturday, George and Mark have also picked out some blinders in recent week. Why deter them? Every opinion on here is useful, whatever the method. I think the bitchiness needs to take a back seat, it’s not why we’re here. Save it for Twitter. Good luck all.

        1. James well said

Chubnut’s record since March 7 winners from 31 bets do not record ew

          BFEXSP 9.28, 9.41,5.10, 4.42, 7.60, 24.0, 4.80 for a 39 points profit after deductions

          Bookmakers SP 6/1, 7/1, 7/2, 3/1, 11/2, 16/1, 3/1 for a profit of 20 points

Very good returns Chubnut and thank you

Chubnut please send cheque to c leafe, No 1 Toy Town, 111 ZZZ thank you.
          Colin.

        2. yes you are right. No need to be rude. I just find it all an unnecessary distraction. As someone else wrote he’s a WUM and a very good one who writes in a very clever way. And as someone else wrote I can always scroll on by which is what I usually do. Now hopefully Josh will hit the Irish National winner and the day will end with everyone having a love in. Good luck to you all

        3. I think James is absolutely spot on here that this place is somewhere where everyone has been encouraged to post their thoughts without the fear of getting negative feedback and one of the great things I have liked about this place. I am sure Chubnut has realised he was wrong and won’t post those sort of negative comments again whether it’s on my tips or anyone else’s even when he thinks they will come last. I suspect most of us will disagree with plenty of tips on here but no one feels the need to make those sort of comments. We can clearly see he can tip so hopefully he will use his energy in a more productive manner instead. More than happy to receive constructive comments after the race privately. (although calling a horse which is a serial place banker when tipped e/w a bridesmaid is not constructive since even the write up said he was more likely to place)

    3. Hmmm. I agree with some of the things said about CN, he does come across as very ignorant and up himself but I do enjoy a lot of what he posts and he is obviously very knowledgeable. He’s never been abusing and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I thought it was out of order him questioning nicks picks but I don’t think that will happen again. Hopefully we’ll see Nick back before long and long live the SBC I say. I find them entertaining and although I don’t follow them betting wise it’s always nice to hear about other people’s ‘systems and angles’.

    4. Think we need to get on about talking about the horses on here, agree, we are maybe beginning to speak for others when in fact they have already spoken for themselves.
I also agree that maybe if we round on one individual aren`t we then in danger of becoming bullies ourselves?
CN has value on here and he did already apologise,so, let`s move on, that Irish GN got my heart pumping….anyone else chuffed to bits to see Mr Mullins finally winning one? Albeit not the one i picked..we move on!

      1. Agree with Stewart. I don’t post that often, scared that I’ll jinx my horses but I read this blog for the valuable insight, not for the tipster bashing. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to see the wood for the trees and negative comments don’t help? Good luck to all

        1. You kept me going again today warren .. not for the first time either .. good work my man 🙂
          gb 🙂

          1. Thank you guys much appreciated and Thanks to skybet paying 6 places I got a payout on roaring bull to.
I also had bellow mome but didn’t put that up as I thought 3 was enough to post.
Lesson learnt just post the lot next time 🙂

    Colin
