Through The Card Selections Warwick / Nottingham

‘Through The Card’ Notes

A couple of my members’ are off to the races today and asked if i’d take a look through the cards. Given i’d spend as much time one one handicap as I do going through these, there’s always a risk of disaster, but the tools I use do help save plenty of time, and sometimes i’m best going on instinct etc. There’s logic behind every pick and if anything you can use them as starting points, and to see if you agree! Or just ignore them 🙂 My ‘through the card’ efforts at both Cheltenham and Aintree have had a great time of it… +60 points. Annoyingly doing much better than my official handicap tips, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Anyway, use the below as you please…

  1. W 4.20 – Goodnight Charlie @ 8
    W 4.50 – The Last Bridge @ 15/2
    L 2.20 – Sir Jamie @ 9/2
    L 2.50 – Garth Rocket @ 4
    K 6.45 – Iley Boy @ 13/8

  2. The Masters – I always back Bubba Watson at Augusta. he is a two time winner and is playing OK at present. He tends to get up for the big ones theses days and so at 28/1 I would suggest 2 points each way. You can get at least six places at that price.
I also like Dustin Johnson as a win bet at 12/1. He is a great talent but can be flaky but can win this if his game is in gear. So 2 points win.

I may also have a go at the tournament match bets on Matchbook. If I do I will post up later or on Thursday morning.

    1. Tournament match bets on Matchbook:

Olazabal to beat Weir at around 6/4. Jose Maria knows his way around here and can beat an out of form Mike Weir.
Molinari to beat Spieth at around 6/5. Molinari is on good form and Spieth is not and has lost his consistency over four rounds, which is required in these bets.

      Good luck.

      1. And Olazabal is in form? Not sure he even plays any more apart from his one guaranteed game at The Masters.
