Welcome to my Racing to Profit Members’ Club – a home for racing enthusiasts of all ages and all levels of experience. My aim is to make your experience of this great sport both enjoyable and profitable – in the long term 🙂
I try to do this in numerous ways as outlined below.
Please take some time to read the following >>>
Firstly, Please Note : Members’ Posts are complete by 10am on the day of racing Monday-Friday, 11am at weekends. I endeavour to get the main stats content posted the evening before racing, usually by 6pm. I usually add the morning prices next to stats qualifiers at around 8am on the day of racing, and will post any of my tips between 8.30-10am Monday to Friday, by 11am at weekends. You know a post is complete when you read ‘(complete)’ in the post title. I try to take the odd Sunday off, so Monday’s content can, at times, all follow first thing on Monday morning.
All Members’ Content is delivered via the blog. This is not an email service.
This club and it’s content may be unlike anything you’ve tried previously.
All I ask is that you take your time to flick through what follows and to immerse yourself in my club. It’s a great community where we all share in the ups (and the downs) with the aim of helping each other to succeed in the long run.
You can engage with the following content in any way you please, from just following systems/strategies, and/or tips, through to absorbing all of the views shared, including various ‘educational’ material I produce – I’d like to think that no matter what level of experience you have, in time you’ll have more knowledge than when you started, and will be a better punter for it. After all, this game is a constant journey of discovery.
In short, my members club content is about me sharing various stats, research and opinions (tips) to use in any way you please to help you be a successful long-term racing punter – and to help you enjoy being a fan of the sport.
You have the freedom to engage with the content in any way you please.
All the information you require regarding my members’ club can be found below. Any new member should take a few weeks to get to grips with my content and whether it suits you.
I would advise paper trading initially, until you work out how best to attack my content and some of the excellent contributors in the comments. There is nothing wrong with just watching and reading for a couple of weeks and if you do start backing something, start small and build up over time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, either emailing me, using the contact form on the website or posting a comment on the blog.
Let’s crack on >>>
Introductory Video >>>
So, where should you start?
Each day I produce a Members’ Post which includes various content for you to flick through, as well as any comments posted by fellow members.
In each Daily Members’ Post there are 4 Sections, each with different information>>>
This is where my tipping content lives.
My tipping focus is on handicap chases and the big Jumps Festivals. Cheltenham isn’t too far away and i’ve a decent record during Festival Week in recent years.
The Daily Chase Tips: Main …. These focus on ‘staying’ handicap chases, which are what I specialise in.
My 3m+ chase tips + Festival Tips are around +460 points in profit since the start of 2014, averaging around +77 points per year.
I provide write ups/reasoning for all my tips, which with any luck you’ll enjoy reading.
As of End of Feb 2020 i’m in the the midst of an awful losing run which sadly does happen from time to time. IN truth it hasn’t been great since the start of 2019, using up all my luck in 2018 I think! That’s betting and it will turn soon. The long term record is fine but this winter season has been tough going so far. I may well just be waiting to bounce into form at Cheltenham! 🙂 Of course, there’s plenty more than my tips to get stuck into, including my new ‘monthly guest tipster’ explained below.
If following my members tips I’d recommend a starting Bank of 150 points.
Important: This should be an amount you’re prepared to lose, as it’s the only way you will sustain losing runs – which happen. If that means starting with £2 bets (£300 bank) then so be it. I’m not going anywhere and there is plenty of time to build up/increase stakes in time. I will have losing runs/or lost points from the profit high of 10/20/30/40 and occasionally 50-70 points . That’s just a fact of punting and betting, especially when playing in competitive handicaps, at decent odds. There is no ‘value’ approach to betting on horses that avoids such runs and if you can’t deal with them, or stake accordingly, betting on horses is not for you. It’s never ideal but it doesn’t take many decent priced winners to get back on track.
Monthly Guest Tips…
This is a new addition from the start of February 2020 where I will be finding Guest Tipsters and posting their tips for a full month. You’re free to use these tips in any way you please but I hope they may add value to your experience. Time will tell 🙂
FEB: Rory Delargy/The Racing Consultants. (+6.15 points during Feb)

Please Note: These selections will be posted in the comments by myself, on the day of racing.
This is where I post the daily qualifiers against my Trainer Track Profile stats that I research before each Flat and Jumps Season. In this report I provide a ‘trainer stats profile’ for each course in the country.
DO NOT back every horse listed in Section 2. That is not advised.
These qualifiers are the foundation for various ‘off the shelf’ ‘strategies’. Many members also use these daily qualifiers as part of their own punting deliberations.
If you wish to follow any strategies, you could start with >>>
- My Jumps Strategies S1 and w2
- My Flat Strategy S4 & S6
(UPDATE: In September I introduced some ‘monthly trainer’ angles in the Test Zone – these are detailed below and have done very well since introduction and if you want to follow just one systematic approach, these are worth a look)
Until you get your head around the rules for the different section 2 ‘strategies’, you can just look at the daily members post every morning, after 8.15am or so, when I add the ‘S’ symbols next to each horse as above, so for the Jumps you just look for S1 and w2, and on the Flat, S4 +S6. Simple 🙂
If you wish to follow any Section 2 Strategies, read this document first…
Advised Strategies 2020: READ HERE>>>
The other link below may be useful. These include strategies which have been ticking along, but are not ‘advised’ for 2020. If anything these qualifiers may provide a good ‘way in’ for your own punting decisions…
Strategies 2020: Other Ideas.… READ HERE>>>
RESULTS: I post monthly Results updates in the Results Tab above, HERE>>>
So, with the section 2 qualifiers you can follow some strategies as above, use the qualifiers in your own punting decisions, a bit of both, or not bother at all 🙂
This is the micro system test zone where I post various qualifiers from my stats research. Again, these can be a useful starting point in finding your own bets, like all of the content.
These have done very well since introduction in September: 2019: +17.56 BFSP; 2020, +67.7 SP, +151.32 BFSP
Before each month I research one or two trainers to keep an eye on. These can be found in the ‘micro monday’ tabs, where this sort of research lives. With any luck, over time, these fresh trainer angles will continue to pull in the profits.
Within this section there’s a strong focus on National Hunt racing and specifically chases.
Here I post any general updates, videos, any links to research, big race trends/pointers, and ‘big meeting’ trainer pointers.
I aim to provide stats/trends/pointers for at least one big Saturday Handicap and ‘big meeting notes’ for a selection of the Festivals through the year, including on The Flat.
The intention is to provide useful, unique research to help you find more winners.
In addition to the daily Members’ Posts I post three additional posts per week >>>
- Micro Monday : A research piece focusing on trainer stats, jockey stats, pace and other musings.
- Tracker Tuesday: A selection of chase Eye-Catchers from the previous week’s racing
- Trends Thursday: Stats/Trends/Trainer pointers for at least one big Saturday handicap.
These posts can be found in the tabs to the top left hand corner when logged in on desktop/tablet
In section 1 – next to my daily qualifiers from my Trainer Track Profiles reports – you’ll notice various coloured symbols. These are explained below…. The red symbols relate to three ratings sets I use – these both help form some of the strategies but also provide added information to use in your own betting >>>
H1/H3= HorseRaceBase Top Rated or Top 3 Rated (at time of posting)
G1/G3 = Geegeez GoldSpeed Ratings (Dr Peter May) Top Rated or Top 3 Rated
I1/I3= Inform Racing Speed Ratings – Top Rated or Top 3
14,30 = Geegeez Gold‘trainer form’ indicators. 14 – 5+ runs last 14 days, 20% win sr OR 51%+ place (inc wins) sr. 30– 10+ runs last 30 days, 20% win sr OR 51%+ place (inc wins) sr
ES+ = ‘Elite Squad+’ = those angles from TTP stats pack with 10+ winners, 25%+ win SR
S1-S6 : S = ‘Strategy’ and refers to the ‘advised strategies’ explained above. S1 = ‘Strategy 1’ etc. Added on morning of racing along with the price.
w1– horse won last start. w2– horse won two starts ago
L : This is added next to any handicap chase qualifier (in Section 2 and 3) indicating the horse may Lead, as it has done on recent runs. 67% of all handicap chases are won by horses who Lead or Race Prominently, and this Pace information may help you to find more winners.
