Chelt ‘through the card’ picks.

Firstly a Happy New Year to you and your families, and best wishes for the year ahead.

There are no tips from me today. I looked at the 3m3f handicap chase at Cheltenham but couldn’t be tempted in by much at the prices. I tipped Beware The Bear LTO and he is interesting in 1st blinkers in much calmer waters. However his price has gone now. I hope they may be more aggressive today and I hope he runs well.

One of my members is off to the races today and asked me for some ‘through the card’ tips. I don’t mind doing this and will often land on two or three winners. I can have the odd blank day mind so some caution is advised. Anyway, those that looked interesting to me today…

Cheltenham ‘through the card’

12.15 – Darlac (for change/interest, fav looks tough to beat)

12.50 – Beware The Bear

1.25 – Defi Du Seuil

2.00 – Born Survivor / Aso

2.35 – Vive Le Roi  / De Name Evades Me

3.10 – Clyne

3.50 – Glory And Fortune

  3. I’ve bought Favourites at the following meetings today
    Cheltenham at 73
    Southwell at 60
Exeter and Fakenham are both touch and go at the moment so maybe back with more?

Happy New Year to you all

    1. Colin has tipped the two faves in the last two at Catterick and the other 4 races consist of 2 odds on sorts and a 5 horse race. Any thoughts on it? Is 81 too high to get involved?

  4. I’ve bought Favourites at Exeter at 85
Chris I made Catterick 77.62 earlier,I will work it out again for you and get back to you in about 10 mins
Thankyou Josh, hard going past couples weeks but a yearly profit of 288 points is the main figure

    1. yearly profit is all that matters really, esp with that approach also where I imagine the spikes can be quite enjoyable at times! My big race tipping profit has always come in spikes. I’d love for it to be more consistent but when you’re around a 10% win sR, but 40/50%+ ROI, and don’t play loads of races, the down times can go on for quite some time! I’m in a bit of a rut with those, but they will turn. Part of the game.

  5. Chris have just been through the Catterick card again and only make it 79.33 so it would be no buy for me,good luck with what you decide and hope my figures helped
