  • I’ve hardly seen any Venetia Williams runners so far this season (unless I’ve missed something). November is when she usually comes into the game when the going no longer has ‘firm’ in the description. With the rains coming this weekend watch out for Soft/Good to Soft next week and onwards. Then her handicap chasers deserve at least a second glance. Perhaps Josh has some definitive stats on this?

    • Hi Pat, yep there’s an angle i’m tracking in members’ post that i’ve shared for free actually for November… beginners chase/hncp chase/ nov hncp chase /NOT 1 run only last 90 days (some logic for that, ie they are tuned up first run, usually don’t find much for a run/run too soon after long break etc)
She will have been waiting for softer ground for sure but record on decent ground isn’t as bad as some think. She had two run at Chepstow, inc a qualifier on angle above who came decent 3rd – the other placed, suggesting she’s got them fit enough at home, so one to watch.
