Daily Tips(2017 Sept-Dec: 31/176, +110.75) (2018: 28/309,97p, -8.2) (1 point win /1 pt EW bets) Festival Tips (2018: +153)

Daily Tips

Nothing today. I’ve looked and i’ve looked some more but can’t tempt myself in with anything today, both all stats quals on this page and flicking through the cards with fresh eyes. So, i’ll leave it today.

TEST Best of the Stats Quals? (2/6,4p, +5.5)

4.10 Catt – Bee Machine – 5/2 WON 5/2>11/8

I thought he looked most interesting of those stats quals on this page that are shorter odds than my usual tipping range. The horse is running well- he was wide and very keen at Ayr, but hit the front 1f out or so, before his exertions caught up with him. He’s 4lb lower than when beaten 1/4 L over CD earlier in the summer and in a race without any regular front runners, from his draw and given his run style/keen over 7f, I wondered if they may be aggressive and try to make all. He’s been in and around subsequent winners on plenty of recent runs and looked sure to give it a good go. 10/3 was ok, maybe 5/2 is short enough, but i’m not thinking about price as much in this test and and it could still prove to be a shade overpriced.

  1. 3 for Tuesday.
    Bangor.
    2-40. Outrageous Romana 8-1 1/2 pt ew
    3-45. Chebsey Beau 12-1 1/2 pt ew
    Chepstow
4-00. Grams and Ounces 1/2 pt ew, will probably have a saver on Gaelic Flow 11-2
a couple of out of sorts runners that if reproducing anything near their best form would have a good chance and i’ll have a small ew on both.
    Bangor 3-15 Roxyfet 25-1, Chepstow 1-10 Skylark Lady 80-1
full write ups later time permitting

    1. 2-40. Outrageous Romana, C&D winner who looks to have everything in her favour today, drops back into a C4, should be able to tuck in behind Tailor Tom, Handicap mark an obvious worry and Captain Simon is a real danger but i have gone for experience.
3-45. Chebsey Beau, reverts to hurdling after running on the flat and going chasing, on his lowest mark for quite some time did win over c&d 3 years ago, ticks more boxes than anything else in the race.
4-00. Grams and Ounces, take out his last run when something obviously went amiss and you have a horse who will always give you a run for your money, looks a wide open race and i did look hard at Gaelic Flow but he’s up 8lb for his only win in 13 starts lto and i have gone for what i think is the value in the race.
the 2 others i mentioned are very speculative 1-10 Skylark Lady, 50’s not 80’s, not won a hurdle for 2 years one of the 3 that have won over distance and gets in off 82 with a 3lb claimer on board looks overpriced at the weights.
3-15 Roxyfet, has some decent form from last season and more rain will help 25-1 looks good value.

  2. Another blank at Chelmsford tonight. -3pts

    Wolves tomorrow. Qualifiers:
    5.45 Red Stripes 4/1
    6.15 Swendab 10/1
    8.15 Merweb 25/1 (EW)

    1pt win except for Merweb.

    Good Luck

  3. Qualifiers re ‘Trainers with a 50% place strike rate in the past 14 days with at least 5 runners’:

1.10 Chp, Agent Memphis & Shadows Girl.
    3.45 Ban, Aliandy.
    4.00 Chp, Braw Angus.
    4.45 Wol, Blue Reflection.

No Irish qualifiers that I could see.

  6. Digging a little deeper My lucky 15 from todays qualifiers
    1.35 Sauvignon
    2.00 Our Charlie Brown
    3.05 Requinto Dawn
    3.45 Hastrubal
    🙂

  7. Kerry Lee with her first ever runner on AW going in the 17.15 at Wolves – Jetstream. Previously with Charlie Hills and had a couple of poor hurdles runs with her, now back on the AW where it’s ran and won on previously. Prob out for a run in prep for a return to hurdling, but though Rob Havlin was an interesting booking and it is well bred Galileo/Dansili worth a couple of quid at 40/1 to find out

  8. COLINS BETS

    Catterick
    2.00 Tadaawol BOG 10/1
    3.05 Russian Realm BOG 5/1
    Wolverhampton
    4.45 Buckland Boy BOG 5/2

  9. Chris M Selections
    Catterick:
    13:25 – Mixboy (9/2 gen)
    15:35 – Spirit of Zebedee (4/1 gen)

    Bangor:
    13:05 – Moonlighter (5/1 gen)
    13:35 – Sauvignon (11/2 gen)

    Chepstow:
    13:45 – Potters Approach (7/1 gen)

      1. Cheers, Josh. Yeah the Potters Approach drift has almost turned around my month. With 1 selections to run today and still tomorrow to go I am 3-4 pts down on the month. Needed that win for a big boost in confidence, hoping to get another winner to get me back into the green 🙂
