Today’s test zone quals from the members’ post

I didn’t fancy attacking the handicap chase at Carlisle, too much guesswork as to fitness. So…

Today’s test zone qualifiers from the Members’ post. In general these have done well as a portfolio for the year, but have certainly been useful ‘starting points/ways in’. McCain/Brennan/Lacey are all showing decent profits, systematically, and NTD for the autumn trainers is ticking along, helped by an 18/1 winner at Chepstow.

  1. Just a 2nd yesterday
    C 1.40 – Wazowski @ 8
    C 3.45 – Shanroe Santos @ 12
    C 4.20 – Craig Star @ 40 (poss e/w)
    U 3.55 – Boreham Bill @ 11/4

    1. 1.40 – Claimer on to lose a bit of weight and hopefully a change of tactics to go to the front instead of doing all the chasing.
3.45 – C&D winner earleir in year and is normally competitive but not usually after a break. Just in case I’m having a saver on Cooking Fat @ 7
4.20 – Same team as 1.40 and down to last win mark at odds I can’t ignore
3.55 – Tactics all wrong LTO, hopefully Emma’s told jock to go for it this time.

  2. The following free midweek blog which is definitely worth a read over the winter months.

The guy who runs it is a big fan of Connor Brace (claiming 5 pounds in a conditional jockeys’ race in the 1.40 at Carlisle) and so I thought his night manager comments were particularly interesting, especially if you have access to Josh’s member stats, which strengthen his case…

The ship has sailed on most his mentions today but there is always tomorrow!

  3. I should have said, the best way to follow his free tips is to add him on twitter “thevaluebettor”. That can then notify you when the blog is up.

Whilst I am on the free page, I should also say, if you are not an RTP member you are making a big mistake! It was added to my portfolio in the hope of becoming a reliable addition to it and instead has almost become my portfolio.
