2.Any ‘Notes’ (my subjective thoughts/’tips’)

NONE. (I haven’t looked through them, it’s 4am as I complete this post and I maybe a tad tipsy! Flight at 11am. ) It will be back to normal from Monday afternoon, but I’ve quite enjoyed not ‘thinking horse’ for 3 days, and locking my phone away in the hotel each day. With any luck the clear mind may have a positive impact on the ‘notes’ horses in the weeks to come, but time will tell. In section 1 I’ve used the price next to the horse in Geegeez, and haven’t used odds checker . If some of those prices are way off from achievable across the board, do shout, and I’ll amend.

  3. From Jarrod…

    Evening folks,
Andy N quite rightly pointed out the source of the winners Davidson is having at the moment…. Like you’re style Andy.
Two run tomorrow that we have backed previously. They both ran on the same day at the same venue and they both appear again tomorrow at the same venue….Wolverhampton. Unfortunately you won’t see 20s this time round…..see 14th MAY post.
SILVER CHARACTER 5.55 and GRAVITY WAVE 5.20. I’ll put them up again.
I’m going to tip another Dascombe horse in the way of AMARONE RED in the 3.45.

    Good luck all

House Of Cards Ayr Monday 14:30 1pt e/w Price available 12/1
    Shouranour Ripon Monday 19:00 1pt e/w Price available 10/1

  5. A couple of Josh’s recent ‘notes’

    A 5.45 – Palace Ball, 1st run after noted 4/5
    W 5.20 – Starlight Mystery, 1st run after noted 28/6

It’s been a bit indifferent in last couple of weeks with 2nd and 3rd runs at a loss of 19pts which is not a lot for the general odds played.
    Mike

    1. Not to put you off but this was Josh’s assessment of Palace Ball after his run on 4/5:
“UP – I think we can put him in the ‘not very good’ category! It be fascinating to see if Mick can work his magic on him at all, but you’d certainly want to see him show more before ever wading in again! Maybe he needs even further or is taking a very long time to get to grips with the racing game.”

and Starlight Mystery after run on 28/6
“UP…hmm, well plenty of MJs horses thrive on a quick turnaround,’m not sure this one has, nothing in tank when asked to pick up. Got an easy lead/dictated, almost pulled up come end.”

      1. Hi Ken,
I must admit I’m not looking at them in any depth but am backing them blind as fun bets with their own small bank . With a separate bank I’m backing any that are over 3 runs with big enough odds to recoup losses on a nag by nag basis. Seems a daft thing to do on the face of it but I did notice whilst putting together the figures a couple of weeks ago the occasional 20’s+ dropping in between 4 and 7 runs after being noted and there are generally only a couple a day. As I say they are just throw-aways but are making steady profit atm and I’m under no illusion of the possible loss of bank. I guess you could stick a pin in on any given day and follow that pick through for the same result but Josh picked it for a reason at the time and conditions will be more favourable at some point. Whether the odds are is another matter!
I’ll update the figures from 22/6 after the footy.
        Mike

        1. I have been backing them blind too but wonder if the ground conditions, in particular, has had an influence on why the results have been a bit indifferent recently.

          1. Yea, there seems to be a general feeling towards that same point among Matt and Ian etc.

          2. Hi Ken
The draw on the flat is very important factor, ground should not be a major issue now for it as been gd/firm for weeks and the majority of flat horses are bred for summer racing.

  6. 220W Newton Geronimo is the next bet in the starting points chasers. After 3 consecutive losers, a loss of 3.3%, the next stake is 1.4% £14. After 12 bets, 5 wins, the plan profit is £89.51 to BSP.

  7. 1-50 Worcester. Culm Councillor 20-1, goes on g/f, drops back into c5 , tongue tie for first time, price looked good last night seems to be shortening, thought it worth a nibble.

  8. Chris M Selections:
    13:50 Worcester – Crusing Bye (4/1 gen)
    14:30 Ayr – Vallarta (3/1 gen)
    14:40 Wolver – Navarra Princess (3/1 gen)
    15:15 Wolver – Twickenham (50/1 Bet365, 33/1 gen) * Advised as 0.5 pt EW
    16:05 Ayr -Whatsthemessahe (7/2 gen)
    16:05 Ayr – Mutarakez (10/1 Bet365, 9/1 gen)
    17:30 Worcester – Aardwolf (3/1 gen)
    19:00 Ripon – Shamheart (7/2 gen)
    19:00 Ripon – Abushamah (12/1 gen)
    20:30 Ripon – Daffy Jane (6/1 gen)

Long list today but all looking good! Results from last week will follow after this post.

  9. Re-Cap w/c 2/7/18:
    36 bets – 9 winners and 3 N/R
    S/R: 27.27 %
    ROI: +13.87%
    P/L: +4.58 pts

    Overall:
    122 bets – 28 winnners and 5 N/R
    S/R: 23.53 %
    ROI: -4.89 %
    P/L: -5.82 pts

Better week last week but I end the first month (since I started posting here) down by 5.82 pts. Strike rate is where I want it to be but just missing out on a few of those nice priced winners, some by a nose.

  10. Wolverhampton
3.15 De Little Engine taking on odds on fav who is coming back in distance,
De Little Engine last run 7 furlong readily went clear eased towards finish easily
    Ayr
    3.35 Marnie James
    4.05 Whatsthemessage

July Bookmakers SP + 5.234 points

    BOG + 6.625 points

  11. The second day of this open trial, that I started y’day of Recent Winners (RW) against lower class rivals. A loss of 1.16 pts then.
    Wv 315 De Little Engine
    A 335 Carlton Frankie
    Wc 530 Excellent Team

  12. Yesterday’s thread about horses having their easiest chance will be posted in the free section in future.
