some members’ content for today..

The test zone quals from Members’ post today… the Roger Fell angle took a while to warm up, having been -18 since I started testing it live…however this week it’s hit the target with 14/1 and 16/1 winners, to move it into profit, and there are a couple of live ones below, along with some others…he is in red hot form now..

Micro System Test Zone

6.20 Newc- Guardia Svizzera

6.55 Newc – Two For Two

Handicap Chase System Starting Points

(this has a 30% win and 50% win/place strike rate, and qualifiers are a good ‘way in’ for deciding bets..)

  1. Last year Chris Baxendale supplied comprehensive trends for The Northumberland Plate, helping me hugely to back the winner Higher Power.
Is there any chance Chris you can do the same again please?
    Many Thanks.

    1. I’ll try and have a look Michael…I have’t bothered myself in last couple of years since it switched to the AW, as I thought it is now a completely different race/track/surface really, and wasn’t sure what use the turf trends would be…but appears they may have been useful last year anyway. I’ll see if I can dig out his old comment.

  2. This is Chris B’s comment from last year…

    3.30 pm Saturday
    Newcastle Northumberland Plate

    20 years – 374 runners

    Handicap runs, 1-4: 0/63
    Handicap wins, 1: 1/74
    Runs since placed, 3-4: 0/75
    Last run, Class 4/6: 0/37
Days between last run and 2nd last run, NOT 11-75: 1/85

    10 years – 185 runners

No win in last 5 runs: 1/69
Distance runs, 4 or more: 0/53
    Handicap wins, 0-1: 0/58
Last run, NOT top 3: 1/92
    Aged 7 or older: 1/39
Last winning run: Class 4 or lower: 1/58

    Six pass through: 2/11/13/14/16/18

2016 was first running on AW:
3 of the first 4 had a previous AW win.
4 of the first 5 had a previous AW place.

    W-P-UP (AW record)
    Higher Power 2-2-0
    Sir Chauvelin 0-0-1
    Jaameh 0-0-1
    Lord George 2-2-0
    My Reward 1-0-2
    Champagne Champ 0-2-1

Higher Power (8/1) and Lord George (12/1) stand out.
Also worth adding in Natural Scenery (10/1) IMO. Only failed on ‘LTO not top 3’ trend. Has an impressive 3-2-1 AW record including 3 wins from 3 for Josephine Gordon – latest one being over CD in Feb 2017.

    1. Josh,
      As always amazing service.
      Thank You.
I don’t like the All Weather but used to love ‘The Pittman’s’ and was staggered that last year the old trends found the winner.
      Hopefully the same tomorrow.

      1. found this.
        Key Northumberland Plate Trends

15/16 – Finished fifth or better last time out
14/16 – Came from stall 14 or lower
        14/16 – Aged 6 or younger
12/16 – Had won over at least 1m6f before on the flat
12/16 – Finished in the top three in their previous race
        10/16 – Carried 8-12 or less
        9/16 – Returned a double-figure price in the betting
8/16 – Had at least 2 turf flat runs already that season
6/16 – Won by a National Hunt yard
4/16 – Won their previous race
        3/16 – Winning favourites
3/16 – Ran at Haydock last time out (inc 3 of the last 10 winners)
3/16 – Had won on the flat at Newcastle before
2/16 – Trained by Donald McCain
1/16 – Won by a previous winner of the race

Amazing Red 6-1 ticks a lot of boxes of the biggies track form of jockey Callum Rodriguez (21%) rides Nakeeta 20-1, Higher Power 10-1 last years winner still looks good to my eyes

  3. Here are my jumps race bets at Cartmel.
    2.20 Sonic
    3.20 Prince G
    4.20 Little W
    Watch em fly.
