  1. World Cup – well…..very embarasing on Sunday, Having put up Poland at 12/5 they get thrashed by Colombia!! However, I am not one to give up and so…Iran v Portugal, under 1.5 goals at 7/4.

Golf – Well….Casey did blow it and Bubba did his thing to win the Tournament for the third time. So I ask myself why I did not back him?? My selections both missed the cut. However the match bet I put up in the BMW, Sullivan to beat Garcia was successful and so we were 1.75 points up on the week.
Five star micro – Lay Casey when he leads a tournament after the third round.

2018 Golf tips are currently minus 8.5 points.

    Good luck.

  2. Monday 25th June Windsor and Ascot review
I can’t say that I enjoyed the 2yo races that much at Royal Ascot from a betting point of view as although I was generally in the right about the ones that would go well my bet selection was dreadful.
The Coventry – the highpoint really, as of those I had seen Advertise (2nd) was the stand out. I backed him each way but had a sturdy win bet on Sergei Prokofiev. I still think with an unimpeded run as Advertise and Calyx had he would have been fighting for the win. He may never beat Calyx over 6f but I would want to be with him over 7f or a mile. I have had an antepost on him at 20’s for the guineas.
Queen Mary – No selection but Shades Of Blue (3rd) put up as likely.
Norfolk – Put up 1pt Konchek and Land force and a half e/w Kinks. National Stakes form found wanting. -3pts
Albany – Here I did not have a bet but mentioned Main Edition as the best I had seen but opined that she was perhaps not good enough to win.
Chesham – More stupidity with 3 joint top rated, Arthur Kitt, Nate The Great and San Donato. 1pt lost on San Donato. (why ignore the combo exacta possibilities? Paid 86/1)
Windsor Castle – Summed up my week really with Bud Flanagan re-playing his weak effort aboard Sands Of Mali aboard Sabre as I had feared. He tried to emulate JPS by holding him up and was last at half way in a really hot 5f sprint at Royal Ascot. Beaten half a length. Give me Tony Hamilton any day.
Windsor 6.40pm 6f Mdn for debutants
    Ratings
    1. Concierge, Glory, Shanghai Grace, Swiper,
    2. Catch The Cubar, Deadly Force, Meraki, Storm Shelter, Watchmyeverymove

No bet, hopefully I can get some ok pictures to offer hope for future winners.
    Hugh

    1. Good write up again
Don’t think the times were that great for the 2yo’s Hugh
Calyx does look speedy & won despite being in the smaller group so whilst not a great time it was still the best performance from a younger horse
Will he stay 1 mile next year…..you seem very doubtful
