nothing again today…

Another quiet day from me today. I’m off to Notts to watch Really Super run in the 4.35, who I have 5% in. Fingers crossed for a good run!

  1. GOLF BETS two tournaments today,Marc Leishman could only finish 2nd last week not very often does a player lead from round one to round four and win.

    Fort Worth
    Webb Simpson 1 point ew 22/1 1/5 7 CO, 20/1 1/5 7 BO BFSB
In fine form winning the Players two weeks ago,and his last two visits to Colonial he has finished 3rd and 5th.
    Zach Johnson 1 point ew 40/1 1/5 7 CO, 40/1 1/5 6 BF
Played here 13 times and is the tournaments all time money leader with 2 wins and 5 top 10 finishes, not a great fan of Zach but this is his course and worth the risk at the price.

    BMW CHAMPIONSHIP
Francesco Molinari 1 point ew 20/1 1/5 7 CO BFSB Bet Stars
Wentworth suits him and he was a fine 2nd last year
    Matt Fitzpatrick 1 point ew 33/1 1/5 8 BW 33/1 1/5 7 CO Bet Stars
Taking a slight risk with Matt but at 33/1 must back him,for me his pattern is forming that he plays the larger prize money tournaments well i may be wrong but do expect a bold show.

    1. I will go with you with Webb Simpson at 22/1 and Adam Scott at 33/1 in the Fort Worth tournament. Webb is obviously in form from two weeks ago and Adam Scott at 33/1 is coming into form, but has to get his broom stick going on the greens.

At the BMW I will go with Paul Casey at a miserly 14/1. He does play the course well. I also like Matt Fitzpatrick at 33/1. He has some good course form as well.

Lat week I had Mark Leishmann and Jimmy Walker. They finished 2nd and tied 6th respectively but I laid them after round one when they were one and two. I am +12 points in 2018 now.

      Good luck.

  2. colts system showed a small profit yesterday i discount odds on winners.
    2.20 Not. Ibraz 11/10.. History Writer 11/2.
    4.55 Chep. Podemos 5/2…Almoghareb 11/10…
    BOL Tony Mc.

  3. Well done Colin with Leishmann, you deserved a return after Webb Simpson hitting form a week late.

I had a full write up n yesterday at Windsor and the 1.50 at Nottingham today but have Comms problems and can’t upload.
Suffice to say the Notts bets are 1pt each My Good Friend and Cool Exhibit.

    1. I hope some of you saw the brief note above, why do comms problems always happen when there’s a winner? Bfsp 17.05

The .5pt e/w on Elieden went the way of many each way bets, 4th! It reflected the danger of not seeing 2yos. She was a shrimp without much potential to develop. Loss of 1pt.
This was a very poor field with I would think only Implicit, Come On Leicester and the withdrawn Lucky Charm worth noting for the future but even then apart from the winner only at basement level. Come On Leicester 76 reminiscent of Corinthia Knight at this stage of the season last year, a little ball of muscle with a good attitude. However this was a dreadful race and she was one of the smaller ones. Lucky Charm not a bad type but misbehaved 68. Kadiz over-rated on debut at 72 now 65. Implicit 67.

Main Edition won the 2nd race at 3.2 Bfsp so a profit of 1.2 points. Happy to report that I also bagged the trifecta once I had seen them, but only by a nose, thank you Harry Bentley on Laxmi.
Main Edition stood out as a proper racehorse type here and the others were always playing for places. Satisfying an odd shape and the 3/4l behind Come On Leicester on debut brings the Ascot race form into further question. Laxmi not the best looking a bit boaty but looked fit, as have several of Meehan’s lately. One or two of the others worth noting.

Main Edition – Tall strong, deep chest, possibly a smidgen light behind but lots of promise. Drawn wide she coped fine and as Ryan taught her the job she asserted and won under h&h. 84
Satisfying – Odd shape, very roundy behind and has an engine but likely to keep finding ones too good until she goes to nurseries. 73
Laxmi – Green and got behind early then trundled through on fitness as others faded. 74
Shining – Surprised how well she went, doesn’t look to have much scope to improve. 72
Oona – Typical Kodiac shape, bit fat and today was clearly not the day as she drifted wildly. Easily improve on this nto. 75
      Crimean Queen – 68
      Castelo – 66
Sufficient – Big ugly thing, unathletic shape but strength throughout, doubt she will be able to use it. 65
      Sesame – 62
Ring Out The Bells – Well made, good proportions but nowhere near ready and not really more than an educational. Maybe slow but might be a 74 or so.

      Good luck with yours Josh.

Here is the original post plus points update that should have gone up as soon as Josh put up the page.

Come On Leicester finished 3rd in what is usually a hot race at Ascot with Satisfying who runs in the 6f race later on the card 3/4l behind. Here he is drawn 1 with Ryan up and looks to deserve his odds on status. Implicit is from James Tate who seems to have lost the knack of fto winners that he showed a while back. I did not like Kadiz that much on debut behind Strings Of Life at HQ– note on race below
This is not to say this was a great race although Strings Of Life may well progress well as she has the structure, there were none of the others I would pick out as anything more than ordinary although no doubt several will win races as 2yos. Worthy noticng that the race was significantly slower than the colts on the previous day despite faster ground.
This race has only thrown up 1 winner and 3 places from 11 subsequent runners. Kadiz also ran poorly nto and has a hood on today.
Whilst Come On Leicester will probably win Elieden for Gay Kelleway looks a worthwhile sporting ew bet. Drawn 11 over 5f at Chester and racing wide she was then hampered twice in the straight but ran well despite all that. At Chester she had PJ McDonald up, sadly today Lasher Luke Morris will be bouncing about on top. If anyone can unbalance a 2yo he can. Elieden is also drawn wide but that is not so much of a disadvantage as it appears and hopefully if he gets her away well she will have a good chance of a place.

Logic would seem to suggest that Satisfying 4th at Ascot on debut in a hot race should have the experience and talent to win this. I have a niggle about R Hughes being able to develop them first to second run, his MO seems to have changed this year and his 2yos are much more competent and ready fto than in his first two seasons when one could put a line through them as they would be too fat. This season they have been going better fto.
It would not be surprising to see any of Crimean queen, Laxmi or Ring Out The Bells competing for the win either so no f/c possibilities.
