nothing from me today

Nothing from me today, the members’ post has taken up all of my morning, another busy day.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some thoughts on The Scottish Grand National.

GL with any bets,

  1. 20/04/2018 Newbury and Bath plus Newcastle reflections

Newcastle 7.10 Thursday. Josh send me the opus dei kit. Two clear top rated above the odds on Mark Johnston favourite and the bigger priced one wins at 15/2 unbacked. Tony Hamilton showing his fine qualities on Sabre allowing all the others to cut their throats fighting for the lead and coming through late on to win by 3l.

    Newbury 1.50

    1. Well Done Fox
    2. Dave Dexter, Greenback Boogie
    3. Glory Fighter

I have seen a couple of Hannon debutants this season and it is apparent that they are not targeting debut wins like they once did. Well Done Fox cost £225,000 and has been installed as a short priced favourite. Wide open. No bet without seeing them. He may be a big strong boy ready to run for his life but price is not everything. Drawn well as is Glory Fighter.

    Bath 5.10

    1. Sir Victor
    2. Kinks, Temple Of Wonder,

Ratings Bet 1pt win Sir Victor, 1/6th pt Combo Trifecta the three.

Tom Dascombe’s 2yo’s have been very professional, it will be some task to beat Kinks as he ran such a good race fto but this has seemed to be the pattern this week.

    1. It’s in the post haha. Well, after i’ve had a little go with it myself after my appalling Cheltenham efforts, two days of bad decision making/bottle jobs/muddled thinking… around 50 points + could have been nabbed over those two days, instead -8. What a game!! 🙂

    2. Hugh. Interested in Greenback Boogie and Wolstonbury in the 13.50. Any thoughts please? GB meant to be the most forward of Meehan’s although usually his need a run. Wolstonbury was pulled out of a decent Windsor race last week

  2. Hi PT, will post up a report tomorrow. GB was well forward but not in the same league as a couple of these. Should win a race before too long though. Wolstonbury was an archetypal Kodiac. A chunky ball of muscle but not yet fit enough.
