Morning Everyone, think I am suffering a Henri Parry Morgan hangover, so, will be brief today as only one race dominates and i have 3 rather than the usual 2…due to it being the Irish National.

Think price may have gone now, be quick i managed to get 50/1 with 365 this morning, form figures over C&D read 212 and he finished 2nd to Presenting Percy over C&D back in December while beating Mall Dini 10 lengths in the process. Could go well returned here with a first-time tongue-tie being added to cheek-pieces and Adam Short taking a useful 5lb off his back. Looks thrown in here, but, will the heavy ground find a few of these out and let this lightweight in??

He’s had 57 days break after having a prep race over Hurdles at Leopardstown 3m soft when 2nd beaten 3 lengths by Total Recall , He ran in this last year when running well in mid division he unseated rider six from home with Mark Enright in saddle they change jockey to L P Dempsey today and that is significant.
THUNDER AND ROSES 25/1 gen
This is another one of my HPM horses, lost a fair bit on him over the years, but, he seems to do well here and i think the old boy can sneak a place whilst all the others will be floundering, can see him staying on in this heavy ground. Maybe just one more win in the locker, hope so!

Market Rasen abandoned, so glad i didn`t look at the 14:10 for nearly half an hour this morning…..
Wasted 2 hours on Chepstow last night and was very sweet on the chances of Saint John Henry at 20s, smelt a plot but maybe it was something else I smelt 😉
I’m having a win bet on Foreseeable Future 5/1 in the 1.00 Wolverhampton for James Tate/Luke Morris.
The horse has a penalty as a previous winner which was in class 4 and this is a class 5 novice stakes so i’m not too concerned by that.
I think he will race prominently/ make the running and hopefully get first run on likely fav but disappointing Last Page who has ran in much better races than this.
The trainer has a decent strike rate here which improves slightly when ridden by Morris, excellent 1st time out stats enhances his claims further and adds confidence. I see his price has shortened since i started writing this to a best priced 9/2, I actually got 11/2 last night
FF didn’t break quite how i expected and i think cost me a winner, but what a great price for Last Page who finally got his head in front.
so it’s over to Fairyhouse for some fun bets.
3-50. Barra 14-1 is 6lb better off with Bleu Berry for 1.5 length defeat lto and as long as he’s recovered should be worth a ew bet,
Bleu Et Rouge has drifted to 33-1 and on his best form must be worth a small ew at the price.
4-25. Boylesports are going money back if 2nd beaten by sp fav so i have had a bit of a punt on Kylemore Lough 9-1 looks to be going in the right direction and if you take out Un De Sceaux could be best of the rest, danger Doctor Phoenix.
5-00. not going to mention anything already tipped or from sp2a so just a couple i like the look of,
Snow Falcon 25-1 and Westerner Point 50-1 a couple of quid ew on both.

Just to throw more confusion into the Irish National mix for fans of the wind op, Squouateur is having his second run after one of those things, he ran well at Cheltenham on his first run after the op. I don’t know if that could point to another improvement or not but sometimes they throw up vastly improved performances now and again. He may well not be good enough but does like Fairyhouse and the ground shouldn’t be too much bother but the trip maybe, I guess carrying 9-10 may help a little. If my memory is right he has always been one that flatters to deceive so could the wind op make the difference here?

The only other to runner today after a wind op is Barca in the 2:35 at Wolves (first run after op). Used to be with some trainer called AP O’Brien. Only 3 runs on AW and was 2nd in one of them. Second run in a handicap today and down in class. Jockey is 0-14 though so now I’m wondering what is the point in posting this in the first place!

Hi all, after my abysmal selections yesterday I hope I’m not subjecting you all to the same today.
Wolves 1.30 Awesome Allan 7/1, best C/D speed figures of these and a good claimer on.
Fairyhouse 2.10 Whisperinthebreeze 15/2, carried more weight when it won it’s maiden, must have E/W claims.
Wolves 2.35 Jack of Diamonds 9/1, 4 time C/D winner like jockey booking, best C/D speed ratings.
Wolves 4.20 Grey Destiny 11/1, has won before after a break and from a wide draw, hopefully will be picking them off late a bit worried by the price drift but trainers only runner today.

Hi Abdul… this blog started out with free posts and me tipping in 3m+ handicap chases – and that race types will always remain free – bar Festival week, which is the only week of the year where I don’t have any free content. The members club isn’t a ‘tipping’ service as such, bar Festival week which I suppose it could be viewed as but it’s a tad bit more than that and mainly all stats based content etc.
