NONE..  (a case of too busy to look today, rather than having looked and decided I don’t like anything, tipping wise)

I think those Flat strategy pointer symbols are correct but in a rush and Flat eyes not fully in focus yet!

  1. Seeing as everyone else is “Off” this weekend it may be up to me to save the day…highly unlikely after Thursdays debacle!!?
    Here we go then..
    15:15 Haydock
    PRIVATE MALONE 8/1 gen
At least arrives here in solid form having finished runner up in three of its five latest runs trainer Emma Lavelle has won twice from seven previous runners in the last fortnight giving hope for a good run here.
    HORATIO HORNBLOWER 9/1 gen
Nick Williams rides this horse everyday and said he is a star in the making, bit like his jockey today Harry Cobden , who, is in form at the moment! This flatter track will suit and he should enjoy going back left handed..
    15:35 Mussleburgh
    NIGHT OF GLORY 8/1 gen
Has ability, ran in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot last summer on his 4th career start. Not disgraced when 5th in a warm handicap on his final start last Oct, against older quality runners. Dropped 4lb for that effort. Still going the right way, with a novice win this year and a hurdle win 44 days ago. This 14f should be ideal and looks to be on a decent mark.
    MISRAALE 20/1 gen
Mainly been pursuing a career over the sticks, last two flat runs have been the Nov hcp & the Cesarewich so you could say its been highly tried & they were its only runs on the flat last season, won on first turf outing in 2016, obviously fit from NH & lowest mark since a win at Ripon, could go well at a price.

Let us see how these go, good luck in whatever you back today..

    1. Stewart, I am here and you are not alone on the tipping front today. For March I am +9 points but on the £10 a point to the end of April we are £40 down.
Today we go with 2.30 KP Escalator each way 1 point at 20/1. He has been gelded and the trainer is in form and it is not the deepest race despite the favourite. Also 3.35 Mus Time To Study, 3 points win at 4/1. Won 5 from 10 career starts inc course and distance and goes on soft ground.

      Good luck.

  2. I’m off to Haydock,a good afternoon’s sport but alot of races where you can make a case for virtually all the field! However 3 wild stabs here:
2:40 Zulu Oscar. Needs a return to form but well handicapped pace should be run to suit and fancied by a couple of better judges than me! Fair enough at 16/1. Will have a little saver on Jenny Candlish’s Sleepy Haven 14/1 as the stable might just be about to go on one of its little runs.
3:15 Potters Legend looks really well handicapped on back form? 11/2 might be a little short but i’ll still back it.
15:50 Lamanver Odyssey. Ground no problem, pace might be but if jumping is up to scratch then must go close. 11/2

  3. Hi, all, just thought I would give my thoughts, been working so no great studying involved here go’s.
Haydock 2.40 Chti Balko 6/1 E/W, C/D winner twice now only 3lbs higher than when won here before and had a few of these behind him then.
Carlisle 3.25 Un Guet Apens 22/1 E/W, another C/D winner who has won a class 2 at Kelso, worth a go at the price.
Haydock 4.25 Culture De Sivola 25/1 E/W, this is a tough race has been getting better speedratings the last 3 runs, best last time out figure of these and carrys 12lb less in this, weight not handicap mark hope she is progressive.
Haydock 5.00 Tara Mist 9/1 E/W, Just like the way Henry Daly has his string at the moment, this horse seems to like a break between it’s races and 44days should be long enough for her to run her race.
good luck everyone, lets hope they all come back safe and sound.

      1. Thanks Ian, I thought Harry Cobden gave her a lovely ride, she was on and off the bridle he just kept her interested knowing she would stay until the end.
Of the others I think Chti Balko ran his race, the wind op worked for the winner.
Un Guet Apens got badly outpaced and was staying on at the end but needs further now I think.
Tara Mist I thought her jumping wasn’t the best and that told at the finish just getting run out of the places,
I am happy with my selections and the way they ran, always happy to make a profit.

    1. Well Done Greg, on the Harry Cobden front, I really enjoy watching him, he reminds me of AP, if you watch the race back and others he has ridden, if he thinks the horse has a quarter of a chance to win he galvanises them with hands and heels and the kitchen sink… In this race all the other jockeys had the whips out whilst Harry was just hands and heels, a lot more to come from this lad I will stake my reputation on it!

      1. Thanks Stewart, I agree having never ridden the horse in public before, I’m sure Nick Williams and Lizzie Kelly would have given him their opinion of the horse and as you said he gave it every encouragement without beating it up to win the race.
I always say to people that a little ten stone bloke/woman will never be able to make a half a ton of horse run if it didn’t want too, always remember AP getting banned for whacking Deano’s Beano umpteen times before the start of a race at Cheltenham and he never ran, he just hated the place.

  4. Hi guys,
Thought I’d chip in on a quite day.

I echo Stewarts view of Mirsaale in the 3.35Muss.
I also like Gregs first two picks. Both have a great chance.

I’d like to chip in with a couple I fancy today 2.05 Native Robin is overpriced I think…. I’m having a comb trifecta on 3,4,6
3.50 hay. Midtech Valentine comes alive at this time of year. Plus T. O’Brien never been out the first four on him. Ticks boxes in my eyes.
4.35 Car. Onderun is a crazy price… If running to any sort of form he should be up there at the end.
5.00 Hay. The Nipper. Came out of and hot race. Think this may have been a late season target.
    Good luck all

  5. No one mentioned the K Ryan/K Stott combo; Lualiwa in the 1.50 Muss.
Won by ~4 lengths at 6/1.
Covered my losses on some of the others I backed.
    Mike
