Nothing from me today..

Nothing from me today.

I haven’t been taking much note of the AW all season so would be a bit foolish to dive  in now. And there are many finer judges than i on the sand!

GL with any bets

  1. AW championship at Lingfield on ITV as i have said before AW is not my thing and i normally leave it up to the likes of Colin so i have just picked one in each race that looks good ew value and had £1 ew for a bit of fun when watching.

  2. Golden Sands !

Finally, some sand that is worth getting your best Bucket & Spade out for.
I think Red Verdon will win the 2-00 Ling today and 10/3 is a fair price.

As for the rest, I have picked out 4 nice outsiders with a chance ( various reasons )
    1-30 SQUATS 20/1
    2-30 MAKE MUSIC 25/1
    3-40 LAKE VOLTA 20/1
    4-10 MR SCARAMANGA 25/1

An ew Lucky 15 @ your minimum stakes is suggested.
Have a great day and not too much chocolate on Sunday………

  3. For those who have been around more than a year you may remember I posted on 2yos for the first few months of last season based on my ratings and on paddock review. It was not very successful and I became disheartened at constantly putting up losers so stopped posting. I did however continue going to the meetings and rating the runners.

This season I still plan to go racing a lot but I don’t want to spend the inordinate amount of time previewing the races in depth and writing them up afterwards. I did not lose faith in my ratings last year and when I rated the Brocklesby had the first four rated as the best, the trifecta paid 1188/1 and of course I left out the winner rather than perming the 4 due to Mick Channon’s poor fto record.

This example was typical of how I found the pressure of posting opinions publicly skewed my judgement and repeatedly found me requesting to borrow Josh’s opus dei kit.

In order to avoid this for 2018 I am going to experiment with simply putting up the first three or four in my ratings depending on field size.
I will be recording results for win on any clear top rated and combo forecasts and trifectas which I will indicate when I plan to do them. Results will be posted occasionally when I have time to do them with any other notes of interest if I see something worthy of comment in the paddock.

    Bath 2.20
    1. Izzer Deep Intrigue
    2. Ynys Mon
No bet for me, top two very short and surely most likely winners. Mark Johnston’s may well be overbet as punters recall his amazing start to the season a couple of years ago. I would think the proven fitness and experience of Izzer might just win the day. On the other hand if Deep Intrigue appears in the paddock and is one of MJ’s giants (apparently he feeds them 4 times a day, with one feed in the middle of the night, as opposed to the usual 3 feeds of other trainers which I like to think explains his giant 2yos) then he may simply overpower Izzer.

  4. Asleep at the wheel here, just noticed the 4.25 from Newcastle
    1. Hard Forest
    2. Kodiac Dancer
    3. Comete, Kyroc, Snazzy, Northern Society
Too many for a trifecta combo, dual fc and win on top rated for me.

    1. – 3 points there. Irritating in that if I’d known Probert was riding for Mulrennan the winner would have been joint top rated.
