  1. On Friday I like:

3.00 WAR – Ruby Yeats – Goes up in distance to three miles for the first time and looks as if he may be suited by the step up.
3.10 EXE – Molineaux – Won well LTO at class 3 and now drops to class 4.
4.40 WAR – Fly Home Henry won well LTO and stays the distance well.
4.50 EXE – Yanmare is a hard ride but has no weight. He also has course and distance wins over this extreme distance. I also like Gingili but he has enough weight to carry for this test.

  2. Monar Rose Exeter Friday 15:40 1pt e/w-In a race where a number of these have question marks i thought she looked overpriced. Has been running in much better company this year and drops down considerably in class. Her last run was too bad to be true but the time before she wasn’t far away from some very good horses who have all won since. Since her last run she has had a wind op and enough time to recover from it. Trainer and jockey are both in solid fold and combine to a record of 10/60, 28p +13.5 in handicap hurdles. Given she is by Yeats the step up should suit. There is a lot of pace on here so I think it will pay to be held up in this race. Finally the trainer won this race last year so I suspect this will have been the plan.
Knockanrawley Exeter Friday 16:50 1pt e/w-Other than getting stuck in the very heavy mud at Haydock in the Peter Marsh he has been running in consistently in some of the better marathon chases. He is 10 but still fairly lightly raced. We know he stays and will handle the ground. Bailey is in great form. They apply a first time visor which will hopefully do the trick and looked a solid option.

    1. Knockanrawley was in the Eider tomorrow but runs today instead. He plods on and gets around and enjoys a severe stamina test.

      1. Yeah same with Emperor. The more that come out the closer we get to a piece of the £50,000 payday just hope it doesn’t dry out to much.

  3. Another day, another 3.5pts down the pan, despite a 13/2 winner. Just can’t seem to get the second winner needed to give us a profit this week. Onwards we go. Tomorrow’s AW racing comes from Lingfield and Wolves. Qualifiers as follows:
    Lingfield
    2.10 Laytown 9/2
    2.45 Wildflower 25/1 (ew) & Mercers 12/1
    3.20 Alaska 20/1 (ew)
    3.50 Gossiping 16/1 & Eljaddaaf 8/1

    Wolves
    6.15 Navajo Star 4/1 & Gabrial The Terror 16/1
    7.45 Naralsaif 15/2
    8.15 Daze out 4/1 & Mutabaahy 12/1
1pt win each except where noted.

    Good Luck

PS. I’m off to Gran Canaria tomorrow for a week of warm weather, relaxation and the odd sherbet or two. Depending on wi-fi and time there’s a good chance I won’t be posting every day but I will try to get something out over the week. Given the week we’ve had maybe a rest wouldn’t be a bad thing!

    1. That’s alright Ken, just let us know the selection criteria and we’ll keep things ticking over while you’re away sunning yourself.

      Have a great time!

    2. Meant to say thanks to Chris for the analysis you’ve been doing. I was a bit busy yesterday getting ready for my hols but will try to have a look during a quiet period while I’m away.

    3. Ken have a great holiday and don’t forget the three Ss Sun Sand and
clear your minds!!! Sangria of course what else?

  4. Josh i just received an invoice claiming to be from you it obviously isn’t.

    1. Infinity Cottage supply riding gear and horse tack etc from Victoria in Australia. I would guess someone has stolen their identity and added their bank details?

  5. Well, not having a good time of it at moment, things will turn though I know.

    14:00 Exeter
MOUNTAIN OF MOURNE races lazily and could be one of my tv horses, will be plugging on when others have put up white flag! Mention for Matueka who with Dickie on board should also go close.

    16:05 Warwick
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY under performed last time out, so will be no surprise to see him quickly reappear and make amends here.mention for Goodnight Charlie who should run better in this class.

    16:50 Exeter
EMPERORS CHOICE who is well handicapped , loves soft ground and is a dour grinding stayer that is well within his comfort zone at this level , massive price.mention for Gingili won here in Exeter back in October 2017, which was its last contested race. It won two more races last year too and looks to be in decent touch. These odds of 11 are definitely worth a go.

    Let`s see..

  6. of the qualifiers i do like the look of Capard King Warwick 4-40 it’s a 2.5pt bet for me got 9.4 bf so let’s hope for a result, of the rest 4.50 Exet – Act Now looks interesting at a good price 1pt @ 15.0 bf.

  7. Might be me, probably is, but struggling to work out why POUR LA VICTOIRE is 20-1 for the 350 at Lingfield.

won same race off 1lb higher mark last year, Carroll’s have been OK in last 30 days, and the horse is 2 wins, 7 places from 10 starts at Lingfield, 2 wins, 2 places from 3 at 7f. Taverner will probably set a strong pace, lets hope he can pick them off in the home straight.

  8. Well I have to admit I wouldn’t have gone anywhere near Sahara Haze in a lifetime of Sundays without the SP2A heads up.

    Impressive stuff! Well done Ian.
