Handicap Chase ‘System’
I haven’t got round to typing up my notes yet but in the meantime the main thrust of my research was…
- Handicap Chase (not novice)
- WON LTO
- Aged 4-9
- Class 3/4/5
- Ran 1-20 days ago
- 0-2 wins in handicap chases (inc Novice)
- 2013-
865 bets / 254 wins / 430 places / 29.36% SR / 50% w|p SR / +15 SP / +68 BFSP / AE 1.01
Notes:-
- 11/1 or bigger: 0/20,3p
- Drop in Class from last run: 16/81,34p, -30
- 3m-3m4f: 82/268,137p, +50, +70 BFSP, AE 1.17
As a ‘starting point’ for finding bets/helping with chase analysis, I thought that looked quite promising. Anyway, use/ignore that how you please. All being well I will post ‘qualifiers’ in the test zone..NOT to be backed systematically I don’t think. There are no qualifiers on Thursday.

hi josh , was just wondering if you or anyone knows whether the ” Proform software ” would be of any help in my following filtering .
At a touch of a button of course 🙂 ……………………
filter 1/ . I would like to know in each race what trainer has had a winner within the last 3 days / what jockey has a winner in his last 3 rides / and does it / can it update the trainer / jockey info on a race by race basis during the day ( at least the racing post does that now 🙂 )
filter 2/. Anything sired by my inputed sire.
filter 3/ . what of horses have won under the prevailing ground conditions ?
i could go on 🙂 ( i know i do 🙂 ) and i know i could manually get this from my racing post page ( but sometimes i find racing post a bit restricted on the information i am after and can’t permanently erase the horses i have disregarded from my morning filtering ……. maybe i go back to buying the paper again and scrawl over each race ?)
any thoughts on proform and it’s adaptability would be great 🙂
thanks
lgb
Hi Brian.. i don’t use Proform and in general it seems way overpriced to my eyes… certainly for the recreational punter. I believe a few pros use it and you can access some of their stats through Betdaq for free.
When it comes to stats research I am a HorseRaceBase user. I can answer questions on that but certainly if you’re interested in such stats research you should give it a go.
ok will do thanks josh 🙂
