TIPS
None. The 3m+ chases can’t tempt me in today. A small enough field for the 2.30 Chelt which I would probably make between the top two in the market.
MICRO SYSTEMS/ANGLES
Tom George (any odds)
2.10 Donc – Some Are Lucky
Kerry Lee (12/1<)
12.35 Bang – Mr Bachster
Trainer/Jockey Combo
1.20 Chelt – Okotoks
*
Some qualifiers from the Members’ test zone, these two angles have been doing well so far…
*
D McCain (14/1< guide)
11.50 Donc – Kilronan Castle (m1,m2)
1.35 Donc – Clondaw Kaempfer (m2)
2.20 Bang – Tawseef (m3)
2.55 Bang – Wazowski
Paddy Brennan
3.40 Chelt – Anteros (14/1< guide, m1)
*
That’s the lot for today, hopefully a chase of sorts to get stuck into tomorrow, in what has been a quiet week so far.
GL with any bets.

A day I think to learn re tomorrow with Going especially at Donny and Cheltenham. Not too many races for me to get enthused about from a tipping perspective but some good competitive smaller field races and important to understand they are using The New Course at Cheltenham today for first time this season.
Aside from one race I have focussed on and have strong views about a couple that caught the eye as being a bit of each way loose change value, not tips per se; are-:
12.10 Some Man, I have had a few quid each way on at 12/1; given connections and some decent P2P for I think we have yet to see best of this horse.
1.55 Twenty Eight Guns, ticks some nice form boxes and looked to be coming to peak form last time out and Course should suit running style. Again a few new £1 coins e/w no more!
Hi Ian
does this mean your opinion of the jockey on Twenty Eight Guns has altered…..he is on 5/11 winners for the last 14 days after all
LOL
Norman; not really, hence they are carrying a bit of shrapnel only, if anyone decent was riding would be a tip probably.
I have seen too many errors from him in the past to suddenly “see the light” and also one particular incident that I witnessed from a few feet away at Worcester races about 4 years ago, that I could not possibly share on a Blog/Forum; shall we say, made my mind up.
Shantou Bob ran staggering race there, prominent, perhaps too prominent; dropped right away; then made up an incredible amount after last to nick 4th on line, and with suggested bookies paying odds to 4th and staking plan, a small net profit on the race, not sure how, but phew!. I do think it can come on again for that run, possibly just took a blow at just the wrong time.
Hats off though to NT-D again, up in trip and up in Class and came home very well.
that was painful viewing, the 33/1 second hit some of my race trends/stats, had a tickle at BFSP, 43.00! Thought I had that all bar last 50 yards haha. Great race. Yep had a go on him also, very odd run. He is a mercurial character, maybe he does need delivering late.
Not for me Ian. A horse that is ten years old in a few days time and only making the track twelve times in all forms, tells me its a horse that is difficult to get right. Some of its back form is far superior to what it can do now. It will have to have its sights lowered considerably to win in my opinion.
Will wait with interest Roddo as I think the horse is clearly talented
I would not be surprised to see it reappear at Warwick (usually 2 Saturday meetings there in January) over 2m5f + provided the Going is not bottomless. That’s a Course that takes some jumping, all about rhythm and I think suits it well.
