Free Daily Post: 01/12/17 (complete)

just the micros today…

None. No 3m+ handicap chases to get stuck into. We won’t have that problem tomorrow, with arguable the best (in terms of quality/how the race can work out) 3m+ handicap chase of the season being run.

Pam Sly (any odds)

3.35 NEwb – Actinpieces

Tom George

2.00 Donc – Drumlee Sunset (any odds)

Trainer/Jockey Combo – Live Test

3.35 Newb – I Shot The Sheriff (12/1<)

That will be it for today, quiet before the storm. Excited to watch the big hurdle race later. I won’t be betting in it but hope Thistlecrack can light up the afternoon and put his hat into the ring for all the big fights later in the season.

        1. What price would you take Thistlecrack today? Uknowhatimeanarry sets a standard and Thistlecrack will need to be fit to go. From my perspective one to leave alone but good luck.

          1. Harry is a horse who is consistently underrated
and he is fit and firing
Thistlecrack is a great horse but with the King George only 25 days away
I don’t think they will go to the bottom of him today
much is being made of the 6lbs Thistlecrack gets today but if a horse isn’t 100%
then a few pounds doesn’t make much difference.

ok a 100% thistlecrack hacks up
but there are other super fit horses in the race
and at the prices laying thistlecrack in the place market and even in the 3 to be placed market
            could be an angle

Also if Thistlecrack blows out a couple of straight forecasts harry- Colin’s sister
            harry and Wholestone may pay

          2. Landed the place lay and the 3 to be placed lay
but a bit sad to see a great horse trail in 10l behind the winner
but interesting to see if they are still thinking King George

amazed at the winner I thought it was totally outclassed
the two who ran at Wetherby ran stinkers so who knows that race
instead of getting them fit could have knackered them out
racing can be a strange game sometime!!!

          3. Im taking 2/1.
A horse that makes you tingle and a worthy fave. Strides and has that head shake that looks like he relishes running at 100%. Its worth £50 for me.
All the talk that he needs a run, but hes not been locked in a stable since his last run. If he drops off, no lesson learnt by me. Ill back him at the King George. Love is blind and its gambling for you.

          4. He does get 6LB from Uknow… and so should win if fit to go. Nice blow before Christmas anyway. Currently 11/10.

          5. Well well well. Sobbing but for the sake of greatness.
            Beer goggles did very well.
Now he will drift for the king george, all part of the plan ; )

          6. Like your style Mr Potato head down but not out
I hope he does get back to his best for KG
Would love to see him and Might Bite wing the last together

  1. 2.10 Southwell

Shearian has been laid out for a touch
The connections have been waiting to get him down to a winnable mark
and now they have and lowered him into a grade 6 he is going to take all the beating
the price is coming in all the time and the best on offer now is 7/2 with Hills 365 and Sky bet
have a feeling he will go off 5/2 or shorter so still a fair play at 7/2.(5/1 last night)

The Horse looks sure to run well and worth a decent play

      1. amazed at the price as I was told connection really fancied him.
glad you both were on at best price.

        Tomorrow offers a great opportunity
irving is always at his best fto and looks an ew bet to nothing at 5/1
        at 1/4 odds the place
The fav should be to good but I think Irving will run close
at 5/4 a place looks a banker for an e/w double plays
will look at the other races to see if a suitable horse
at a suitable price stands out for e/w doubles.
with Irving looking such a certainty for the place
cross doubles may me worth a thought
you can back IRVING with two or three from another suitable race in crossed doubles
if Irving places then you will be very unlucky for all three of the second leg to miss the frame
ideally you want a race as follows 8-9 runners with a short priced fav

        with 2nd fav at 5/1 3rd fav at 10/1 and 4th fav at 20/1

have three 1point e/w cross doubles
        irving and the 5/1
        irving and the 10/1
        irving and the 20/1

or if you really have a strong e/w fancy put it in a double with irving
