2.Any ‘Notes’ (‘bet of the day’ + any other notes)

Bet of The Day…  (test) (Flat: 6/61,22p, +0.1) (Jumps: 9/62, +25.5) (total: 16/123, +25.6)

None today.

I have had a flick through and am personally not bouncing up and down to dive in full steam ahead on any of those… Another Eclipse looks most likely to run his race/go close from that list I think, but is just a bit too short for me. Most of them are exposed horses although the likes of Horsted Keynes and Glory Awaits have at least been running well/in some sort of form. But they do both face much younger rivals and a few who are well fancied it seems.

I will mention Pioneering who I will have something on as he is an ES… and he drops in class/moves up in trip. And given how quiet O’Meara was it could be any more recent poor form was linked to that. My head says he may just be a bit useless and he doesn’t exactly arrive here in form. Not one I will go mad on but he is a double figure price.

4.Any general messages/updates etc

York… I won’t drag over the coals too much but they didn’t do as well as hoped I don’t think… they found a couple of nice winners, and a couple that went close. That’s how it goes, some meetings have done very well, some not so well. Albeit a head 16/1 2nd and SBS runner getting a clear run in the Ebor would have made the difference to the ‘notes’, such are the fine margins.

Sunday… / Monday… / Next week…

I am off to Anfield for the first time this season in the afternoon…and will be getting a lift back home to Suffolk after the game… I will be back in Liverpool next Sunday. You won’t notice any difference, it is a working week on the whole… albeit Monday’s post will be up on the morning of racing. There may be some disruption next weekend in terms of notes/times of posting etc.. but will keep you informed. (i am off on a Friend’s stag 7am on the Friday-Sunday)

  1. morning josh enjoy the game today off to nthe spurs myself in a short while, just wanted your opinion on the omeara runner pioneering 5.55 bev, he looks either unexposed or useless but double figure price could be value. also think simcock runners all should run well

    1. Hi Paul, cheers, yep you too, enjoy the match. Us vs the Gunners is usually a good game and we have done well on recent encounters. Should be fun with any luck!

Pioneering…as he is an ES and he is 10s I think you have to have a go. As per notes above my head edges towards him being on the useless side and were he not an ES I don’t think I would play… but he is at least dropping into C6 and stepping up in trip.. so two things different and that is what you cling onto. You never know- they may change tactics and try and make all- horse may have the time of his life on the front end!

Yep Simcock runners… Another Eclipse looks much the best out of those I think… on the fence a tad with the others but with any luck they run their race.

      GL whatever you play on.

  2. Hey Josh,
Hope you have a good day at the footy. I finally got to my seat to watch the Hudds live in a premiership yesterday 🙂 it’s still like a dream 🙂

Just thought I’d put up my picks for today and some notes that make sense to me lol the prices I’ve taken were this morning not sure what they are now.

4.15 Beverley – Election Day 19/4 win bet
(H1, G3, A1 Trainer C5, Jockey 14) This is a M Johnston unexposed 3 year old, good 2nd here in April with similar condition as today, with a boots bet at lad’s I’ve 19/4 will have a win bet here.

4.50 Beverley – Bay Station 9/2 win bet.
(G1, H1, Jockey14,C1,5) Only one win on debut CD she now come down the weights and the drop back in class.

    17:25 Beverley – Bollin Ted – 11/4 win bet
(G1 H2 CD) the conditions look good and at 11/4 still some value with this field,
droping back in trip today, when last ran at this trip he raced keeny which will not have help and just stayed on at the same place.

4.05 Yarmouth – Another Eclipse 9/4 win bet
(H1, A1 Trainer C1,C5 Jockey C1C5) Unexposed looks the one to beat, conditions
ok 9/4 is just on my limit for a bet here, think if still improving then there mybe a little value here.

    4.40 Yarmouth – Brigliadoro – 7/2 win bet.
(G1, H1, CD, Trainer C5, ASD2) Just no class wins but other then that the conditions
look good Very good for place. Mountain Angel is the one to beat, MA as only 6 starts and dropping back in to class 3 today after going up to c2 from c4. Looking at the MA
think there is value to take him on with Brigliadoro at 7/2
(Possiable muggy sunday forcast with these two)

5.50 Yarmouth – African Blessing 6/1 win bet.
(G1, H1, TW) first time running at Yarmouth other then that conditions look ok, Trainer change – Wallis over 5yrs 1/20w 4/20p but with Luke on broad will give him a go has feel some value in the 6/1.

I’ve put them all in a £1 ew 6 Fold Acca.

Happy sunday every one GL today

  3. well josh liverpool superb spurs my team not so good, just got back at least pioneering won pay for my day at spurs
