YORK

As you are hopefully aware I am on holiday at the moment and ‘normal’ service will resume from Friday’s post… (in terms of times posted, odds, etc etc) … I have repeated the York Notes below… I have the two Haggas ‘micros’ saved so posting those wont be a problem. But I wont be posting any ‘qualifiers’ against the positive pointers before Friday’s racing (posted thurs afternoon with any luck, flight lands 3am Thursday) Any help on that front in the comments would be great, but if you like using these notes/the app, finding ‘quals’ hopefully won’t take you too long… as ever I would tend to use them as starting points, but that’s up to you…

  2. Out of the 2 Gosden 2YOs i would side with Come With Me. They are both first timers (Gosden has a 14% record with them so no issue there) and they both have the same sire 8/59/22 over C&D. What seperate’s them is the jockey booking, Robert Tart rides CWM who has an 18% s/r over 200+ rides. Ted Durcan rides Orchard Lily, he has only ridden Gosden’s horses twice and not won or placed. Also the dam’s sire for CWM is more prolific over c&d 2/9/7 places. Orchard Lily’s dam’s sire is 0/1/0 places.

    1. interesting stuff thanks James. The Haggas horse in that race, Give and Take, the one with the only run so far, the form of that race looks questionable to my eye, 0 from 5 , 0pl that have run subsequently despite that being an Ascot event. Also, Haggas hasnt had a 2 yo winner since 25th jul, 24 have tried since that date, all abit worrying on the eve of York and for todays 7/4 shot.

      1. I wouldn’t write of the Haggas horse, he’s just not for me at the price. He does do reasonably well with his 2YO’s at the track in Aug and also has Jo Gordon riding. Gosden’s are more prolific though and at a bigger price it seems the value play.

  3. The best chance for the Gary Moore stable today I am told is Rianna Star, 3.00 BR. I also like Brave Helios, 6.00 NA. Looking forward to some quality racing from tomorrow onward and to have a go at the York micros.

    Good luck.

  4. Quite like the look of Miami Sunset in the 18.10. Sired by Archipenko who’s prodg have a decent record at the track. Trainer also has a reasonable recent record at the track with most of his runners knocking at the door. Only sending this one today and SDS booked

  5. Tomorrow:
    ES qualifiers:
    2.50 Bath Eugenic
    1.45 Bath Showmethewayavrilo
    1.45 Bath Silverrica
    5.40 Bath Nutini

Ebor Runners: (these should be ALL the runners trained by the five trainers Josh identified but you will need to cross-reference them with his notes as to which are most likely to do well)
    Haggas:
    4.15 York Theydon Grey
    4.50 York Green Fortune
    OMeara:
    1.55 York Edward Lewis
    1.55 York Move In Time
    1.55 York Out Do
    1.55 York Watchable
    Ryan:
    4.50 York Luis Fernandez
    4.50 York Queens Sargent
    4.50 York Savalas

Nothing for Luca or Saeed. No CDJ qualifiers either.

    1. Looks like Green Fortune qualifies for Haggas on Micro 1, 6f, 2YO races and 2 win angles. At the moment only Edward lewis qualifies for OMeara on SP and the 3+ YO Age 3-6 angles. All 3 of Ryan’s are currently 16/1 or lower and qualify in a 2YO race which is a plus, as is the 1 run at York for Savalas and Queens Sargent and a bigger plus for Savalas if he stays at 7/1 or lower.
