some Irish Angles, quiet day….

No system qualifiers.

Nice to bag a winner yesterday albeit only 10/3. He made all as I hoped given he had run over further and they put the visor on first time. It is something I look out for now with first time headgear- the potential for a tactical switch. The other one ran well, held up too far back off a slow pace. He just got done for 3rd which was annoying for any EW backers.

Our resident 2 year old expert Hugh Fowler has been chipping away in recent weeks. He picked out a 20/1 winner yesterday in the comments. Superb work. That will boost the confidence.

Not much else today, I am in a bit of a rush for one reason or another. Below are some qualifiers from a Henry De Bromhead angle we are testing in the Members’ Club, for interest..

Irish Angles

7.50 Killarney – Archive / Devil’s Bride / Killeney Court (all any odds)

Good luck with any bets today,
Josh

  1. Worth keeping an eye out for when the write up for big priced winner from yesterday is posted to see his picture. He was a shrimp compared with most in the race but looked very fit. I hacve to admit that if he had not come out top on the algo score he would not have justified a bet on looks.

Unlike Golden Salute that won the first 2yo race who was also top on the algo score and looked the part. Lovely when both the score and the physique come together.

Nothing today, may loook at Sandown tomorrow then Newbury on Friday.

  2. Would be nice to see one of DeBromheads get in front at the post tonight, those 3 qualify on a system I’m using from last year. Fingers crossed! One from a system I’m trialling goes in the 6.00 at Worcester. Mr kit kat for Evan Williams who looks a reasonable chance altho got beat by 22.4 lengths lto.

    1. hmmm.. yep we shall see- just looked through them and i’m not too convinced! All got the odd question- Archive is at least in form and a bit more in the ‘could be anything’ category over fences. But he needs to improve plenty if those near top run to their ratings. JP seems to have good chance of landing it and never convinced when one trainer throws 2/3 darts at a race like this. Throwing mud and hoping something sticks maybe. I could have that very wrong! We shall see. GL with Mr Kit Kat.
