  1. 3.00 Pontefract 1m2f handicap

Only the 86 runners to have a look at over the last 10 years.

9/10 finished in top 6 last time out (from 53 such runners).
9/10 finished in top 2 in previous three runs (from 56 such runners).
10/10 had 11-45 day gap between last run and 2nd last run (from 54 such runners).

Applying that eliminates the three at the top of the market, leaving Niblawi, Apres Midi and Kingsthistle.
One interesting note I’ve found is G Lee riding for R Menzies in handicaps this year on horses (10/1 or shorter) he rode on their previous run too reads 2-3-2-1-5-1 so Kingsthistle could be worth an ew play at best price 13/2 now. Was 9/1 last night / earlier this morning.

    🙂

  2. 3.30 Pontefract

66 runners over past 12 years. Obviously sample size in terms of previous runners and today’s field size is far from ideal but had a little look anyway.
One previous winner was a debutant with no previous form so looked at the other 11 winners of this race.

ALL 11 winners who’d run previously had their latest run in a class 1 or 2 flat race and solid recent form – at least a top 2 in recent three runs & placed in either of recent two runs.

Two fit the above: the odds-on fav Abingdon and Yorkridding who looks a very solid each way proposition at 7/1 especially so if 8 runners remain.

    🙂

    1. Once again Chris….terrific stuff. Saves me hours and lots of worn out pencil stubs. lol
      Cheers mate.
