Horses of Interest…
5.30 Chepstow- Bohemian Rhapsody- 14/1 – UP Awful.
He caught my eye when flicking through the cards on Geegeez, using their superb Instant Expert tab… the ground has turned soft here and arguably his best form is when the mud is flying. He is also 2/2 at the course which caught the eye. His last win was over CD in May 16 off OR72. He races here off 64 so is undoubtedly well handicapped if he can put it all together. He has also won before having appeared to be totally out of form. The headgear comes back on and I also noted that Shane Kelly rides again, for the first time in 11 starts. He was aboard for his last win here. Powell’s horses are starting to kick into gear now having been a tad quiet and I thought this one was worth some change. Many in here are unproven in the class and on the ground. The fav may well hack up if handling soft but I am always happy to take that sort on. Clearly they win plenty but you can’t go running away from shorties.

Hugh Fowler: Latest 2 Y O Post/Report/Update/Horses To Follow… READ HERE>>>

Unfortunately with Josh away and my getting behind last weeks 2yo report has only gone up today. In the new horses to follow section was Another Day Of Sun who won yesterday, albeit at restricted odds of 5/6.
I shall be sending Josh last weeks report today with an updated horses to follow list.
With the rain and changing going everywhere today I am not publishing my normal analysis, just a note on each of the three 2yo races with a reminder of what I said about the ones I have seen. On the face of it Dontgiveuponbob at Weatherby and Enjazaat at Yarmouth look very strong although ground must be a worry for Enjazaat. Miss Mo Brown Bear at Chepstow with the weight pull should also competitive.
Chepstow
Miss Mo Brown Bear – Poor picture, my impression was of an ok type, green in the pre-lims for a Hannon runner and likely to do better than a lot of these. Some size about her, possibly medium. 73
Weatherby
Dontgiveuponbob – Decent size, early medium, still a tad leggy but athletic. Looked readier than stablemate Darkanna. Too keen early then ran on well without any use of the persuader. 75
Yarmouth
Enjazaat – Huge strongly made but carrying too much condition. Have to be charitable and suggest that he was drawn badly and also did not like the going, otherwise a very disappointing effort. Have to believe he has 80’s potential

I have been guilty of rushing my fences at Chepstow with Miss Mo Brown Bear. Here are the other runners I have seen
Reflect Alexander – Short bodied chunky Kodiac, might have been closer if hadn’t been hurried along to keep pace with the big and free Dathanna early on. Could well be a bit better than able to show here. Although looks a bit straight in the shoulder. 72
Angel Islington – Very similar to Angel Of The South as both progeny of Dark Angel. Angel Islington a bit low slung, deeper chest and still tubby with a bit more power behind. Should end up rating around the same as AOTS. 74
Pleased to see you put up Bohemian Rhapsody and the other tip on your (paid Members) section as both tipped by one of the few paid tipsters I trust at about 7.30am this morning with very similar explanations and am on at 14/1 (BR) and 20/1 (other) respectively.
Lets hope you are both bang on
Good Luck
Well hopefully that is a good sign Colin. With any luck both or one can do the business. They both looked over priced and the other one (who I wont mention on here for fear of the dreaded ‘free post curse’!) is into 7s. Makes my 33s looks decent enough, but 20s was way overpriced also. Hopefully they have some more rain as well.

Yarmouth is forecast 5 hours of consistent heavy rain from 1 pm
so by the 4th race it could be soft and by the last heavy
at a price CASINA DI NOTTE looks a decent e/w bet in the 5.20 at Yarmouth.
only 6th last time out at Haydock but was backed from 10/1 to 6/1 on his handicap debut
and more importantly has course form on soft ground when second in a maiden over a mile
went off 50/1 that day (opened 66/1).
since gelded which should calm him down and dropped back to 7f
I am very hopeful of a big run with very heavy rain hitting Yarmouth it could be heavy by 5.20
so your horse will need to handle the ground and stay a bit further than the distance
CASINA likes the ground has had three runs over a mile and was heavily backed on handicap
debut last time and was only beaten 2l despite getting blocked in his run
Good luck Peter, plenty of logic there. Nice price as well.
