Bet of The Day… (test) (Flat: 2/16,10p, +6.8) (Jumps: 8/53, +26.5) (total: 10/69, +33.3)
The less said about yesterday the better I think. (that isn’t to say I haven’t had a long hard think about my process with those etc) Poor. Moving on…
5.55 Ayr – Colour Contrast – 1 point win – 11/1 (bet365/WH/BV) 10/1 (gen)
Back to the source of most success so far with the ‘bet of the day’ and that has generally been focusing on the unexposed/lightly raced ones, those doing something different. This one is making handicap debut and also yard debut, so ticks two boxes there. Jardine is also in decent form at the moment so we know there isn’t anything wrong with the string. He is 2/6,3p with handicap debutants at Ayr and can improve them from previous yards, 8/58,19p with stable newcomers. He can ready horses after a break also. The jockey – well he has ridden winners and this is an apprentice handicap. He has ridden in four of those in 2017 to date with two wins to his name, both on the AW. Most of his rides, and those wins, have been for Jardine. This horse comes here on a low mark and wouldn’t have to be that special to get involved. I would like to see some market support given this profile and we may know our fate before he runs. But, on paper, he looks interesting. He is the profile I should try to focus on, unless a more exposed one really leaps of the page.
A few for the flat test #1 strategy, and with any luck one or two may go in.
Good luck with any bets.

Preview – Not much I can add to what the market has to say here as I have seen none of them. Hannon, gosden and Stoute are all equally capable of surprising with a debutant as they are disappointing. With Richard Kingscote up and some experience one has to assume Di Fede will be hard to beat, but she may be a tiny one.

Should have posted the above in the free daily post.
Moring all,
Josh your right the less said about yesterday, it was my worsted day for awhile out of my entire portfolio I had one each way bet up which finish 3rd for a small profit but a big loss on the day. That is the game we are in, got to take the lows on the chain and move on 🙂
I’ve two qualifiers for my test today
FLAT
Yarmouth
4.30- Plucky Dip (4+hc’s, micro class ) H3 I3 32% 2/1+ price taken 11/1 (carol)
JUMPS
Soutwell
6.20 McCabe Creek ( all Hcs + micro distance) 3/1 43% 6/5+ price taken 7/2 (skybet)
Good luck 🙂
Probably better off staying away from brighton for BOTD,it really is bottom of the barrell stuff
What about a Man United double today.
I presume they will bore everyone this evening as they do and squeeze out a low scoring win v Ajax. You can couple it with The Special One, 5.00Y, 14/1 at present.
Moi Aussie seems to be well touted, 5.00Y, as well.
Good luck.
Always fun to have the 2/5 fav beaten like that by a qualifier to rescue the day. (I would love to see the look on the utter mugs who actually back nags at those prices)
yes very nice only got 16.0 but a 3pt bet
