micro systems…

NOTE: From tomorrow I am on my travels, Budapest via Suffolk, and as such it is likely that only the Micro Angles/Systems will be posted. I won’t have time for much else until a week Tuesday.

  1. A couple of ‘maybe would’ve backed ’em’ winners at Leicester tonight: King of Scotland of Hughie Morrison’s and Giveaway Glance trained by Alan King.

Tonight’s task is to ‘reverse-handicap’ them, ie. work out how the hell did they win?!, and find an angle into such future winners.

Hughie Morrison: stable in form and good stats for 1st hcap run – 3/5 at Leicester, too, which was enough of a clue. The horse in question is a 3yo. There must be some kind of H Morrison 3yo angle – I know he had great success with his 3yo’s at Chelmsford.

Alan King: the King flat/AW on here failed to pick it up. Damn! He appears to have sent out many more flat runners than in previous seasons so it does look as though Alan is changing his approach to the flat. Well, the game never stops changing and punters can ill-afford to do not move with it! That angle needs to be freshened up.

Any ideas anyone before I give my HorseRaceBase a right old once-over?

Preview – Some fairly decent animals have made their debut in this race but this edition lacks the Hannon or big Newmarket trainer runner so looks a bit more open.
Interesting that Raydiance stands out so far on algorhythym score.

    Prior race notes
Zain Flash – Plain type, sloping away a bit toward the tail, a bit of substance to his build, should improve a little for the run. Went hard early and faded allowing smaller weaker types to close. 65

    1. Cheers Ali. I will try my best. Two days relaxing with a couple of friends before about 25 others arrive. I should come back in one piece!

Morrison- the less said about that winner the better! I did have a glance, noted hncp debut stats/track, his brilliant form, horse had a break, running on turf, moving up in trip. He ticked every box you want ticked for that type, and was a decent price. Poor.

King – yep I removed his that had 2+ runs in 90 days from angle, which covered yesterdays winner. You cant capture them all sadly. He was 9/58, -17 with those types, 2+ runs 90 days, within my angle. 2/30 in the last 3 years, -20, before yesterday’s winner. But, he is having more flat runners etc and that will change things. One to revisit at the end of the season I think. My King angle ends this month. Maybe we will dive in again after that.
