  1. 20th May Thirsk 5f Fillies Mdn
    4.25 Ajwan
3.75 Foxy Lady, Lil Gem, Twentytwowontdo, Validator
    3.5 Collateral Beauty, Foxxy Brown
3.25 Dubai classic, Your Just Desserts, Mecca’s Minstrel
    1.75 Donny Belle
    1.25 Benaras
    1 French Silk
Preview – Validator is a justified favourite on the way he shaped at Yarmouth on debut but mixed messages coming from that race. The second looked good when 2nd to a Godolphin fav at Windsor on Monday, the winner only looked average at Lingfield.
With normal improvement she should win, however both Ajwan and Mecca’s Minstrel for specialist 2yo 5f trainers are big dangers.
With Validator and Ajwan drawn favourably they should be the first two home. If Mecca’s Minstrel ends up below 6/1 she may also get involved.

  2. 20th May Newmarket 6f Novice
    4.25 Di Fede
3.75 Cherubic, Flirtare, Tajaanus, Take Shelter
    3.25 Sultanaa, Villa Tora
    3 Queen Penn
    2.75 Atalanta Queen
Preview – With Mr Beckett’s usually improving greatly for a run I would think Di Fede might improve past Take Shelter.

  3. 20th May Newbury 6f Conditions
    4.25 Denaar, Koditime, Starlight Mystery
3.75 Kit Marlowe, The Love Doctor, Rogue
Preview – Denaar won a small race at Chelmsford with great ease fto but did not look to have a notably powerful physique. The same could be said for Koditime but to my eye he appeared to show something different. Neither race has thrown up a winner yet, although a couple from Koditime’s race have placed.
On balance I think that given Denaar’s first run was at Chelmsford my preference would be for Koditime. He did it very cosily at Doncaster and could easily be something a bit special.

    Prior race notes
Koditime – Typical compact but power-packed Kodiac colt. He was always travelling well in behind and although had to force his way through his pilot was full of confidence and he won pretty much as he liked although by a narrow margin. I don’t think he is a potential Kodibear and looks very much a 2yo but should win his share. 83, may well rate higher as he seemed to show something different when asked to go.

  4. 20th May Doncaster 5f Auction Novice
3.75 Our Man In Havana, Flo’s Melody
    3.25 Zabaleta Swansong, Holy Tiber
    2.75 Mabo, Kyleque
2.5 Jedi Master, El Bertie, Alaska
    2.25 Bahuta Acha
Preview – Slight preference for Out Man In Havana in what looks a bad race.

    Prior race notes
Our Man In Havana – Chunky strong compact chap, carrying a bit of fat so not quite ready to give of his best. Slowly away from the widest draw and got behind, made up some ground but then ran out of puff late on. Improve and could find an early season race. 64
    Bahuta Acha – Rabbit 50
