All quals + ratings pointers + Aintree micros + prices

1.All Qualifiers Against Stats Pack/Ratings Pointers

3.Any general messages/updates etc

1.All Qualifiers Against Stats Pack/Ratings Pointers

1.40 –

Natutical Nitwit (all hncps) 14 40/1

Sumkindofking (all hncps + micro TJC) 14 12/1

North Hill Harvey (hncp hurdle) 14,30 11/1

Allee Bleue (micro going)14,30 33/1

Rather Be (micro age) 14 12/1

Thomas Campbell (micro age) 14 9/1

4.05 –

O O Seven (hncp chase) 14 20/1

Gold Present (hncp chase) 14 11/1

2.10- Longueville Flier (hncp chase + micro class) 16/1

3.50 –

Card Game (all hncps) 11/2

Jokers And Rogues (all hncps) G3 9/2

Dakota Grey (micro age) 16/1

Remember some caution with these. The jumps stats work, as we have seen since October. I can’t say that with the flat as yet. The logic/research etc should in theory lead to similar results but this approach is untested in live play…

3.05 –

Gabrial The Tiger (all hncps + micro class) H3 12/1 (RP10/1+ qual)

Gallipoli (all hncps + micro class) 15/2

Prying Pandora (all hncps + micro class) 16/1

4.15 – Buthelezi (all hncps) 33/1

5.25 – Billy Bond (all hncps) H3, G1 5/1

H1/H3 = HorseRaceBase Top Rated or Top 3 Rated (at time of posting)

G1/G3 = Geegeez Gold Speed Ratings (Dr Peter May) Top Rated or Top 3 Rated

14,30 = Geegeez Gold ‘trainer form’ indicators. 14 – 5+ runs last 14 days, 20% win sr OR 51%+ place (inc wins) sr. 30 – 10+ runs last 20 days, 20% win sr OR 51%+ place (inc wins) sr

2.Any ‘Notes’ (subjective views mainly, on some of the qualifiers)

Nothing to add today.

3.Any general messages/updates etc

From the last Monthly Research article looking at Hobbs. I have tinkered with it slightly and missed his winner at Stratford…(he was a TTP ratings pointer winner, St Saviour) 0/5,1p within this angle at the GN Meeting..

1.40 Aintree- Allee Bleue (14/1< )

  1. here’s hoping for a long shot in 1-40 as i got 130’s on Natutical Nitwit and 85’s on Allee Bleue.

  2. morning Josh ,
what is difference between stats you use on this page and the stats you quote as using on free page?
just on ratings stats neither sky khan or crystal lad get mentioned however you say on free page that using your stats these both make shortlist .

    1. Hi JE,

The stats on this page, in section one, are from my ‘Trainer Track Profiles’ stats packs, which I research before the start of each season, for Jumps, Summer Jumps, and Flat. When a horse hits those trainer track stats, they qualify , and get posted.

Please read the welcome note. I thought it was all rather clear, but maybe not.

      Jumps stats here..

That is the basis of all the jumps quals in section 1 above. And similar reports for summer jumps and flat.

Free post.. those up there are looking at a specific race, using the race trends/stats I have researched. Nothing to do with what is on this page.

Thos ‘Aintree 2017’ in section three above are from a specific stats report I researched for THIS meeting.

You use any of the info however you please, no right or wrong. The welcome note/last results update, explains how you can attack section 1 on this blog

  3. I totally understand about ratings on section 1 so need keep saying to read welcome email.
Do you combine ratings from profile stats as well as your own research to get specific race stats as in free post races ?

  4. If both sets of info were compared/combined would it not give you a more comprehensive list of horses who were more stand out for ‘tips’ section ?
    Or would they not overlap

    1. Use the info as you please.
I have explained everything the best I can and if you are still don’t understand maybe another member can explain better than I have.

The two posts are nothing to do with each other, they use two different sources of info. I have a certain approach to ‘tipping’ in big races and use the trends/stats approach as above. Of course I have noted the odd other horse that has appeared above and notes in particular that Rather Be has appeared in a few places.

  5. So maybe this has just shown that overlapping both lists may give a bigger odea of winner .
    As you say
Rather be appears in both lists .
    Well done anyway

    1. Well when they cross over it is added info. That is all. Blind luck that Rather Be was a qualitfier above and he hit my trends for that race on free list.
